any good motorcycle/dirtbike games?
 

im looking for a great motorcycle/dirtbike game for the PS2. The only game my local video rental place has is Ricky Carmichael MX Superfly. It's a fun game, but id like to know if there is anything else out there. any suggestions? :confused:

It isn't for PS2, but you can't beat good old Excite Bike for NES

I just picked up MX Unleashed and it's a decent game.

Fairly realistic, nice rag doll physics for crashes, and overall just very entertaining. It's made by Rainbow Studios too, the same guys that made the Motocross Madness games from Microsoft that were for the PC.

And also the most challenging racing game I've ever played. I had one race where all 8 racers were coming into the final turn, I was on the inside and took the last jump just straight for the finish line and went from a 5th place finish to a 1st :D

Excitebike

MX unleashed is decent. The only thing it really has going for it is the ability to drive/fly the special vehicles. The ragdoll physics are ok too.

You can't make your own courses in freestyle mode and there isn't enough to do with the props in freestyle mode. They could have made some good 2 player games with the balls, the hoops, the bowling pens, and a create-a-track.

It's a great game if you haven't played ATV offroad fury, but if you have, you'll see it's pretty much the same game, with dirtbikes.

lol at excitebike. one of the greatest games ever, but i think i've outplayed it for the time being. ;)

i wish there was a motorcycle game like Gran Turismo. That would be sweet.

How about MTX: Mototrax? It just came out for PS2 and is getting pretty damn good reviews. The only other motorcycle game out there that I can suggest is Excitebike 64 which is considered one of the top 5 best games for the N64.

If you haven't played ATV Offroad Fury, I'll recommend it as well: even though it's ATV's instead of motocross, it's a still damn fun game and probably the best dirt-track racing you'll find on the PS2.

check out the MotoGP series for PS2. I have it for xbox and it's pretty fun.

ATV OFFROAD 2 is very sweet! Motocross Madness is awesome but I think they just made it for the PC, by far one of the best offrode motocycle games out there!
