Any one play cs here? I used to play a lot but stopped cuz too busy with school stuff. Now that 1.6 is out, I'm gonna start playing again :)

I don't like 1.6..maybe I'm old fashioned. Plus the community is really fucking immature nowadays. Steam is the antichrist

I played 1.6 for about two hours before uttering "this blows" and re-installing 1.5.

I use to play it a bit. It's alright although the riot shield is almost always banned now on servers. It's fun, but I find it very annoying loading up each game because it takes so much longer to do it.

One cool thing about steam is the whole buddy list thing. It's extremely convenient to see who is online and join the same game that they are in without needing to communicate with that person prior. Love this feature.

I really hated 1.6 when it first came out.... the new rifles were useless, they changed all the real weapon names to fake ones, and the riot shield royally fucked up game play.

But now that I have played it for a few months I have gotten used to it. Like someone else said, most servers DO ban the riot shield due to the many bugs it has. Also, I must admit that the automatic downloading of patches makes things a bit easier. The buddy list is also a good addition. This way when me and my clan are scrimming or practicing on a pub we can just click on their name in the buddylist and join that particular server. We used to have to IM each other over AIM/Trillian to get the IP's and how much room there was in a buddy's server, btu all that info is in the buddy list now.

Apokx I already add you to the buddylist, but I don't think I can play these few day cuz school is starting monday and I have 2 report due on monday :( Gotta finish them before I play cs again.

At first I really hate 1.6 too but now I'm used to it. The thing I hate in 1.6 its very easy to get headshot now, every game I joined I see people making headshots like crazy.

Been around for like 5 years, and we all play casually, don't play leagues anymore cause it got boring (worked to top 10 in 3 leagues in a ~1 month) and yea.

I tried to stop playing CS so much... that didn't last long. But to my dismay i can't get my damn e-mail address and password I used for Steam and since you can't use the same CD-Key twice, I'm pretty much screwed... I guess I'm just going to have the buy CS for the third time. sigh

As for the new rifles,I love em.I wish they would give duels more damage though,or insane accuracy..I like using em..but they blow.

I agree Apokx. Headshots used to be skills or luck, now people just spray and pray and get hs :hmm:

Question,who here plays that doesent script whatsoever?

Recently chapped my ass watching people use them,namely the "awp//deagle" switchout script.

It's a form of cheating imo,just like skin alteration (that improves gameplay..skins are fine if they arent exploited)

I don't script, but I do know what you are talking about. Or the awp/flashlight script to where there is no sound of the awp shooting. I change my config to fastswitch, but I don't use buyscripts or anything else, and it is alot more fun.

I don't use any script, but I can understand 56k user using buyscript though. I hate when people use nade script.

It sucks when you have to download a hack (I'm too lazy to write my own) just to see the time. But that's about it. I have yet to load the aimbot, wallhack, or anything else. Just the time thing,

But yeah, I still play. :(

my fav gun is the m4 and ak47 and my fav maps are dust,dust2and aztec.

My favorite gun is the M4 and USP. Map is office and aztec.

Gun M4 and Desert Eagle. Map inferno and aztec.

Pretty much anything with a decent amount of accuracy..

heh i like the m4 and ak also, but as far as condition zero the m4 and ak SUCK too much recoil and low damage

I like AK, awp, and deagle. Maps are dust, dust2, inferno, and aztec. Some of the custom maps like mindmaze, the aim_ maps, and clan-mill are also good though.

To those people who dont like 1.6, I can't understand why. The new guns do kinda suck (mainly CT one) but they are still better than a smg if your low on cash. Also, the new graphics and better resolution are enough to make 1.6 2x better than 1.5, that is if your computer can really handle the changes well.

I play as stoned.420 or oJ-sToNeD.420, steam ID is stoned.420 so add me and we can play sometime. I'm usually on the big 32 people dust/dust2/aaztec servers but smaller pubs are fun too.

As far as mods go,anyone tried the Warcraft 3 mod?

Large servers running them can get pretty crazy....


For those who arent familiar,you basically get exp for killing someone,then buy abilities/equipment..ranging from invis cloaks to the ability to mimic the other team's skins.


Interesting twist to cs.

i used to play religiously, but not as much anymore. add p0thead to your buddy list but my in game name is cm0ke. i usually play deathmatch servers now because i just like to shoot ppl up and see if i can have the most kills. ill challenge anyone to a deathmatch map for most kills, just pm and we can have some fun.

My fav gun/map is AK-47 and dust2.

I play 1.5 still...and quite frequently, seeing as how my life is currently not that busy.

This morning I was playing on cs_estate...with only about 5 other guys, I was T. I started out on a good streak and went 8-0, this one CT kept pissing me off cuz he would buy an AWP every round, and I would continue to school him with the AK. Well he finally killed me with it one round...so I said "I can play this game too"...bought an AWP...and killed all three CTs with 3 bullets. Then I said "well, have to go to work, it's been fun slaughtering you all" after I finished 12-2 Hehehe, I was being a real ass.

I'm sorta a middle ground player, on a full server I'll usually hit somewhere between 3rd-6th of 15 players by the end of a full round.

I haven't play cs in a while. I feel like playing it again. We should play a game together, TFP Game tournament or something.
