PS2 network adapter
 

Worth it? where should I get one? eBay? there seems to be two different ones, anyone have experience with them?

Oh, and also, for FFXI or other MMORPGS, is there some sort of serial # /CD Key associated with it?

dont mess with the third party stuff just go drop the cheese and buy the SONY one, has broadban and dialup connections on it(other do as well i would assume)

as far as MMORPG yes there is a CD key printed inside/on the instruction manual. also some of them require a monthyl fee is, FF, EQOA:Frontiers

however the new Champions of Norrath does not.

Guys at EB told me every third party network adapter they sold was returned cuz none of them would work properly

The Sony one is the best one to get. BestBuy has a gamer gift card you can buy (its in the console game area, ask an employee if you cant find it) and I believe that inside of it, there is a $5 coupon for any video game or video game accessory over $20. If you buy the gift card and put, say $10 on it, then you can get the network adapter at $5 off and use the gift card on it :)

I have the sony one, it works great no complaints. I'd stick with something that works properly.
