Mario party 5 sigh

ok the game is sorta fun.. its console and a game cube but my wife and kids wanted it..

i sat down and played with her.. nevermind the fact that zelda is screaming at me to play it..

this game is addicting.. omg it is.. i wasted over 6 hours playing it. it actually was fun.. but it one of those games where.. well.. whats the point.

fun game though.. the mini games are the best .. although the volleyball is cool

that board game though where the cards flip over is cheap.. grr

I haven't played Mario Party 5, but I have played the others. I really enjoyed playing the first one: we had four people who played it all the time and got blisters on our palms from the crappy "rotate the joystick as fast as you can" games. All of the sequels seemed to get less and less fun. I noticed that the game seemed to be all most completely irrelevent because you would work the entire time to build up coins and stars and then someone would just steal them from you. There was no real strategy, it just seemed random. The game would be much improved if each of the characters had more individualized skills and abilities. Then you could perform better in certain games depending on which character you played as. All in all, they seem to be decent family games, I may have just outgrown them.

I have Mario Party 4, but still haven't played 5 yet. These games are addicting, but when you play all the mini games and finish all the boards it gets kinda boring.

I've always enjoyed the Mario Party series, except for Mario Party 2 with the stupid, blister-inducing "rotate the stick as fast as you can" games.

I don't know if I like what they've done with the items this time though, how you have to purchase any item before using it.

mario party....the game where you compete for coins where the coins dont matter....

i wince everytime the dice is rolled because it physically hurts to try to play that game to win.

some of the minigames are cool, but theres no cheep cheep sweep :/

I remember when the first Mario Party came out for N64 and so many little kids were getting blisters or cutting up their fingers trying to frantically move that awful controler. Nintendo got a LOT of complaints from angry parents that their childres were being "hurt" by this game, so they ended up opening up an 800 # where you could call and give them your info and they'd send you a pair of gloves to wear while playing. Stuff like that just cracks me up :)
