Metroid Zero Mission
I just picked up Metroid Zero Mission for GBA and so far, I love it! It's like they combined the original Metroid with Super Metroid and a little bit of Metroid Fusion. Anyone else played it yet? Thoughts?
|
I haven't played it yet, but I'm gonna get it probably this summer when I get money from work. I LOVED Fusion and Prime. Zero Mission got really good reviews, so it's definitely on the "to buy" list.

it looks awesome, I love how these guys are keeping in touch with the Super Metroid days by releasing 2-D side-scrollers while keeping up to date with things like Prime

!! I totaly forgot it was out, and FF:CC comes out too, shit, what will i ever do!
|
Yeah too many games, too little time... I think I need to take a month vacation and play catch up

It's absolutely brillaint, incredibly easy compared to Fusion though. Oh, and the music is absolutely fantastic.

I liked super metroid but god damn it would it kill them to add in a mini map system that tells me where to go next!

Okay so far i've recharged 3 sets of batteries. I dont care how long I take this time, i'm gonna get every damn item in the game! Has anyone gotten any power ups that aren't compatible with the suit yet, or am I just getting ahead of myself? I think i have 2 or 3 upgrades that I can't use until I get a better suit :) Well back to playing..

Nah incompatible power-ups appear quite quickly, the first one you get will vaquish the alien boxes when you shoot them (despite it being incompatible)

Boo! I completely forgot about this game. Now I have to pick this up alongside FF:CC when I pickup my pre-ordered copy tomorrow.
|
Yep, they become compatable. Later. I thought this game was so easy, and was going to be mad. But it isn't as easy as I thought. Well, at least it didn't end as quickly as I thought. But I won't give anything away.
Really good game though. |
My girlfriend bought me Zero Mission for our anniversary. I played it through my entire vacation and DAMN! This game is awesome! It's just as good as Fusion (though not as hard). I remember fighting the Fusion bosses sometimes 30+ times to beat them. No boss in Zero Mission took me more than 5 tries. Some of the puzzles in the game had me seriously stumped for an hour, though. I LOVE how they incorporated stuff from Fusion and the original Metroid into it. I especially like the Power Grip that allows you to hang on walls and ledges.
Metroid Fusion and Zero Mission are two of the best GBA games. I hope they make another so I won't have to wait as long for Metroid Prime 2. After playing Prime I've been loving the Metroid series. I still haven't played Super Metroid, though! -Lasereth |
