FFXI PS2 or PC?

Wassup
I'm really interested in the FFXI game that's comin out for the PS2, and is already out for the PC... well my question is, should i play the PS2 version or the PC version? I plan to play in college, and i'll have my new PC by then, so performance wont be a problem

I like that the PC will be right there for me, but I like the PS2's controller, and somehow I think the PS2 will do a better job at a FF game

Also.. anyone know whether you'll be able to change between PC and PS2 if you have an account? like say if i wanted to play my character on the PC, even if I usually play on the PS2?

Thanks for ur inputs

We can't play on the PS2 online at my college. I'd play the PC version just to make sure it works. The ports for all console online gaming are blocked here, and I hear it's the same at many colleges across the US.

There's a USB-to-PS2 controller converter that you could buy. That lets you use your PS2 controller on your PC.

I'd recommend getting the computer version unless you want to buy a keyboard for your PS2. Trust me, it's really annoying trying to use the ingame keyboard to try and talk to people.

Ditto on what Lasereth said. Go for the PC version. Plus it looks much nicer on the PC if you have a decent one. Yes, you'll be able to log into your account on either platform once you have the account created. You can go anywhere it's installed an log into your account if you remember your loggin info. That isn't as easy to remember as you might think though. It's a series of 4 letters then 4 numbers which you don't get to choose. Once you create your account you never really need to references these numbers again unless you reinstall or try to log in from another location. My suggestion is e-mail this info to yourself as soon as you create it.

I agree with the above, get the PC version, i have it, and i play with a ps2 controller, you can buy attachments (PS2 to USB) at Radio shack. I typiclly move around, use macros, change camera angles with the controller, and then Type with the keyboard, while setting the controller on my lap. Invest in this 10 dollar item, its worth it.

Anyways, im sure you will enjoy the PC version much better.
