I have played this game NONSTOP sence christmas and am FINALLY at the end. on the very last level.

Right before i go in the game RESTARTS.

this makes me mad for MANY reasons.

1) can't return it.
2) feel like i have WASTED 32 hours of my LIFE
3) bought an x box to play this game

well i'll post if i can get it to work.

No save game? Or did it corrupt your saves?

nonstop and only 32 hours since xmas, wow are you in a time warp or something, sorry just had to.

It's a known fault on the XB version, I believe someone created an unofficial patch you can download via Live.

No offense but if it's unoffical why did M$ allow it to be downloaded on Live? Lucas Arts / Bioware would be pissed. It sounds like someone lied to you Mr. Deflok.

Probably, I know there is a patch out there though, perhaps you can download it via your PC and network it over to your XB HD.

KOTOR just seemed unnatural trying to play it with a controller, mouse and keyboard are much intuative.

depends on which version you play first........KOTOR seemed unnatural playing with a mouse and keyboard for me.....the controller seemed more "intuative." And all the reviewers say the controls are better on xbox :) I agree

I agree. The same goes with Morrowind. The controls for Xbox are awesome. I can fly right through them and do everything I want ultra quick. It's very annoying clicking around with a mouse in the PC version. :) It's all preference tho.

Hey Password- That sucks about losing your game and all but I wanted to let you know that I played the game for 50 hours in the first week I got it last November. That, my friend, is NON-STOP. You can always play it through again and follow a different path.

If it makes you feel better, password, I had GTA Vice City 98% complete before my PS2 memory card wiped itself clean for no apparent reason.

I played all the way through Turok 2: Seeds of Evil for Nintendo 64, and then my file got erased when I got to the final boss.....I feel your pain as well

I just started it on the PC seems just as good as the reviews

It's better than what the PC reviews say. :) The XBox version is as good for the XBox as Halo was...I guess I can't really hide how much I love the game.

I think if you overwrote your saves instead of creating new ones they corrupted. Bad news. Get an Action Replay and you could at least use a save to get back to the end of the game...

ok thats a just bull. i went back to a early save and finished the game.

It's not bull, who's to say that other people whose savegames got corrupted were corrupted due to a combination of things, perhaps having particular items AND overwriting saves. Don't say someone is talking crap unless you're 100% sure they are, you'll also note Dibbler said "I think" to start his sentence.

This game was fun but I don't think it lived up to all the "Game of the year" awards it got.

Losing progress on games sucks hardcore though. Sorry to hear about that.

You should have kept multiple saves...

OMG that is the worst....2 months of play down the drain...you have my sympathy, man...ouch.

awesome game. passed it twice doing different things. lots of options to do stuff

With me it was the original Final Fantasy. I was right at the end of the game when my Nintendo conked out forever and during its last gasps of breath took my save file with it. I took it over to a buddies place to play out the end and found my game had been wiped. I didnt end up beating the game until a few years ago when I downloaded the ROM. Believe me we've all been there and we all feel your pain.

Just finished it for the 2nd time last weekend. Definately my favorite game for quite a while. I could imagine if I lost it all before finishing.... the sheer terror.

Only time that ever happened to me was near the end of Phatasy Star II on the Genesis. Pretty much destroyed the game, I was so pissed off... never went back.

Did you play it differently both times ?

I know had I lost 2 months of gameplay, I'd never touch it again. Ick.

I've had more problems with PC saving my files than with consoles. In fact, I've only had one instance where I lost a save file on consoles.

"That's what you get for using an xbox." Invalid statement. I could say the same for PCs. It just depends on your luck.

It's a killer game, but I sure as heck didn't get 32 hours out of it. The PC controls are kinda crappy because they didn't bother to adapt it to mouse-keyboard in a meaningful way. It was definitely useable and manageable, but not perfect.

I'd disagree with the dude who said that Morrowind had better xbox controls. The game was MADE on PC first. The PC controls are great.

Did you do all of the quests? I played it on the light side and had right at 50 hours on my file. I did every quest in the game but 1 (on the light side). 32 hours is REALLY short for KOTOR! I hear the dark side is considerably shorter, though.

I lost my Playstation memory card at the Final Boss on FF8. I really diddent care, that final boss was way too hard (espically compared to FF7 sepiroth) plus FF8 just sucked ass.

I didn't think FF8 was that bad, but the end boss was hard as FUCK. I still have my file, but never beat it because of the end boss. I let one of my friends that used the level-up island trick to get all characters to level 100 beat it and I watched the ending.

Yeah, I'm also one of the many who've lost a save file to the original Final Fantasy near the end of the game. As for FF8, hated it.

KOTOR was deserving of the 2003 game of the year title, I think. 2003 didn't really see the release of anything innovative or of any superhyped PC sequels, so there's nothing to take our attention from KOTOR. I had some major issues with bugs on a PC that has no problem running current games, but the actual content was great.

It's basically the Star Wars backdrop that George Lucas created, minus all of his cheesy characters and their interactions. Hard to beat.

Great game - got well over 50 hours from this. However, if I had just lost everything before I completed it, then I think my computer would be scattered across my floor !

The last boss was cake. I just traded in one of my cards for a full inventory of an item that grants you temporary invincibility in battles. Can't remember what it was called though.

Losing files is infuriating. I had 82 hours put into ff7 and that shit got corrupted. I never touched the game again.

I love KOTOR, which I am currently playing a second time through as a dark side jedi. I'm on pace for an insanely fast 25 hours. Basically I'm just killing everyone in my path, insulting people, and listening for the hillarious comments by HK-47 and Jolee.
