Recommened me some Game Boy Advance games

I'm been thinking about buying a GBA, and have looked at a few games while seem alright. However, I would like to get some additional input.

I really like role playing games, like Final Fantasy. I looked at FF Tactics, but didnt like the battle system. Seems like a direct rip off of Orge Battle.

Also, I like cartoony, simple, just fun as hell to play, like Megaman and Super Mario.

Can anyone give me some good game recommenedations? Thanks!!

edit - Also, round here the GBA (with the flip screen) costs as much as the Game Cube. But I looked at a bunch of GC games, and they all seemed geared towards the 9-13 range, with a few shitty "adult-oriented" games. If you can convince me of GameCube's awesomeness, I'll buy that instead.

Two GBA games that are a must own.

Metroid - Fusion
The Legend of Zelda - A Link to the Past

You'll probably want to refer to this thread:

It's about the best GBA games.

I'd get a Gamecube if you don't care about portability. I love my GBA, but if I had to choose, and didn't care about portability, then I'd stick with the Gamecube.

If you truly want a portable system, then you can't go wrong with a GBA. It's definitely worth the $99. They're so damn cool.

The Gamecube is certainly geared towards younger kids in certain genres, but that doesn't mean the adult-oriented games suck. The Resident Evil titles are incredible, and I personally think Eternal Darkness is worth buying the system for.

I can highly recommend...

Advance Wars and its sequel

Golden Sun and sequel(this should be your first GBA RPG purchase)

Mario Kart: Super Circuit

Metroid Fusion

Warioware

Also, if there are any SNES re-releases you didn't play the first time around, those are usually great bets. Of that crop, my favorites are...

Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3
The Legend of Zelda - A Link to the Past

Amen, I'm currently playing through the sequel right now, and it's great. Castlevania games are pretty side scrollers, but despite all the hype, after I've played one they're all the same.
