Heroclix
anyone here play heroclix? i just recently started collecting the figures and playing the game and i must say that i am addicted to buying booster packs just to collect the figures. I have only played a few games but i already have a collectiong of over 70 figures.
Also: What characters do people use most often, my favorite team to use is a Veteran Thor and Veteran Hulk, i have yet to lose when using them but then again i havent played too many games!!

I looked it up on google, but I'm still a little confused. Boris - would you mind telling us just what heroclix is? All I can figure out right now is that it is some form of miniatures game.

i must say it is hard to explain, but here goes. you have the figures on like a chess board. each figure has a speed, attack, defense, damage, and range value. the speed is how far you can move that character during his turn. when another character is in your range value you can attack them. you roll dice and if the dice roll and your attack value is more than the targets defense value you hit them and they take damage equal to your characters damage value.
The figures keep score for you too. they are all on what they call a combat dial for each damage point you take you click your dial to the left and your values for everything change according to whether your character is getting beat up and tired, or he is getting mad and energized. and to top all this off there are super powers for each value based on your characters powers in the comic books. the values and the powers make it a very strategic and fun game and it is everyones favorite superheros. its just cool to see how cetrain heros would do against each other even if they are both good guys. check out the website Marvel- http://www.wizkidsgames.com/heroclix/marvel/ DC-http://www.wizkidsgames.com/heroclix/dc/

Yeah boris I have played that game. It can be very fun and extremely fusterating. The rulebook is not all the good and doesnt really help much. I have had too many agurments on the rules ruined some of my games. My brother though went crazy and bought like over hundred but last time we played was at least 5 months ago LOL

Ah, thanks for the info Boris.
I think I'll avoid it though. I'm like Cynthetiq On this one. No money for excess expenditure, and I don't have time either.

My DnD group almost used Heroclix to represent our Charectors. I would have had the Penguin to represent my Half-elven Bard..even though the Penguin has nothing at all related to my Charector. But he has a freaking Umbrella, and I can't do any better than that.

Heroclix is fun because the gameplay has that 'superhero' feel to it, where the combat is quick and deadly. The problem with the game system is it lacks tactical depth. I got into it pretty heavy when it first came out but lost interest and I've only bought the figures I wanted since then.
