Oh, yes. Be careful when taking the top off as there is a ribbon connecting the power and eject buttons to the main circuit board which could easily break off.

Tech TV did a segment where they taught you how to open up the system and adjust the lens height. Here you go:
Open up your PS2

Just an update to my previous post, I got my PS2 back today (well, not exactly mine) they sent a refurbed unit, less than a week after it was assigned to a tech.

VERY happy it is back before XMAS. Haven't tried it yet, want to let it warm up a little, cold here in PA today

omg I did not know that Laseereth! I've been so pissed because I now got a short in the back of my ps2 because was pulling it out to hit the switch! I should have read the manual.. nah..

OPne thing I know is that it works on Final Fantasy games. Orther than that I have no clue. Besides for that, I have nothing else to add here
