I usually participate in voting awards like these, but this is ridiculous. None of the games that should win for each category are listed, and most games are listed in the wrong categories. The write-ins help, but how many users are really gonna do a write-in instead of choosing one just to get to the next question?

I know this is supposed to be fun, but it really irks me when I see stuff like this. They should have at least got people that know a bit about the gaming industry to construct the voting system! Oh well, enough bitching for now.

Most of the games on the list are good ones, but no category just for RPGs? Ended up writing in Viewtiful Joe for Best Action, and Donkey Kong for Best Classic.

Is anyone going to the Spike TV Video Game Awards (VGA) tomorrow in Vegas? I just found out I'm gonna be there.

You just found out you're going to be there? How'd you pull that off? That's cool though. I'll probably watch them on TV, but I certainly won't be there.

I know the search function isn't working, but there's already a thread about these awards a page back or so. They didn't have enough games/the correct games listed in each category. Oh well!

Well, I am taping it so I guess, with a lot of editing, I should be able to get a few good minutes and screen shots out of it.

What a complete mess. If you aren't 12 years old with ADD, I don't see how you could stand that garbage for more than 15 minutes.

Too many flashing lights and loud noises. Why can't they just chill the fuck out?!

Yeah, I realize that SpikeTV's demographics are mainly men, but watching the VGAs made me wonder if they're not taking that stereotype of what men want a bit too far. I would have watched more of it but a lot of it didn't have my kind of audience in mind. I seriously didn't snicker or giggle at the Lara Croft jokes. I mean, if the goal was to create the most offensive and distasteful programming as possible, they succeeded.

But then, the entire network is pretty backasswards if you ask me. /rant

This program was a pathetic attempt for SpikeTV to, sorry for the pun, spike their ratings. The female wrestling alone was probably the biggest draw from the network formerly known as the Nashville Network.

THere should be the TFP video game awards. I'm not sure how it would be organized, maybe polls for each catagory?

I just know I don't want to set it up.

yer just biased with your system

besides you know it's just so that they have a good demographic to pander to in the future... it's all about the adverts

while i'm sure bias has something to do with it that still doesn't really excuse a complete absence of a platform. sony and microsoft prolly paid for the whole damn show anyway so its not a surprise that other systems didn't make the cut

Yeah I agreed with you then and agree with you 80 times more after seeing the show. Def Jam : Vendetta winning game of the year? Uhm...Hello? Rigged! Stupid assholes shouldn't be allowed to even advertise games on thier channel ever again.
