For big fans of Squaresoft, your own buster sword.

I didn't know they made buster swords until just recently and I thought I would share this with you guys. I think the next one is even better...

The fabled Masamune, and this one is better quality too. They are both about the same price(around $280.00). You can find these swords and others here

Cool stuff huh

OMG!

i'm totally speechless. The Masamune looks totally...cool. and thats an understatement. Top it off with some white dye, some rock-style hair and you've got a real-life bad ass Sephiroth.

The buster sword is kinda small though, rem it to be bigger form the game.

The Masamune is much smaller too than in the game. But i'm not complaining, that would be a crazy long sword. I really want one of those masamunes though.

Yes, but the buster sword isn't that sharp at all. However, the Masamune is pretty sharp. The masamune has a rating of 7 in the sharpness area.(meaning: (7) Sharpened - This begins the realm of low-end custom blades and high quality commercial blades. Surpasses field requirements.)

No, dead giveaway is the price. A regular battle ready sword is going to cost you at least 300 dollars, for one of these recreations to be battle ready, you'd be looking at a small fortune.

Check the material as well, carbon spring steel is not the kind of steel a real battle ready sword is made off. You'll be able to stab someone with it for sure, but it'll probably break if you go trying to kill trees and such.

This is a display piece.

I don't think he was being selective just on topic. Masamune and Murasame are both swords featured in quite a few games, popular views however will point more to FF simply because it's been around a bit longer.

Interetingly both swords are named after famous historical Japanese sword smiths. Masamune was viewed as Japans greatest swordsmith of all time. His swords were much sought after and highly prized. Murasame on the other hand was well known for the fact that many believed his blades to cursed and carried ill fortune, just some small useless facts

hey if your lookin for an actuall battle ready sword try going to your local knife shop and see if they can order you a folded steel katana. I know the one around here use to have a couple for sale for about 380 but they were low quality ones as far as folded steel goes. The owners of the same shop had one that was worth about 1500 or so.

I really dont think that Buster sword has to be sharp to kill anyone with it, if you bring that down on someones skull, im sure you would do some damage.

I loved the masamune in chrono trigger, and now the frog dude got it. Anyways, imagine owning one of these, but a custom, battle ready one. My lord, I can get a temper and lose my cool quite often. People will learn to stay away from me, hahahahaha.

"The Masamune looks totally...cool. and thats an understatement. Top it off with some white dye, some rock-style hair and you've got a real-life bad ass Sephiroth." Not quite. To be bad-ass, you'd have to know how to use a blade, not just look good. above and beyond that, the Masamune featured isn't the same as Sephiroth's - the featured has a handle-grip at least a third the length of the blade, if not more, whereas (if I remember the game correctly) the blade Sephiroth used was more than 3 times the length of the handle. granted, I doubt that a sword that as long as his could be made, but... it's nice to dream.
