True Crime: Streets of LA

I know it's about a month until it comes out but I'm wondering if anyone else is looking forward to it. I've already pre-ordered it but my excitement is, how do you say, waning. I was just wondering if anyone has had any thoughts on it. Thanks.

i haven't pre-ordered a game since Mario 64 for Nintendo 64. not quite sure what it is, but sounds like a Grand-theft-autoey game..3-rd person, going around shooting stuff...

Eh, I've played a demo of the game, and it needs MAJOR work before they release it. The controls were unresponsive, the framerate was sluggish, it basically felt like a poorly made GTA3 clone. I might rent it when it comes out, other than that people should just wait and get that GTA3/GTA:VC Double Pack for $40 (If they haven't played them already).

I love the idea of playing as an asian for once, we'll have to see how the game turns out, at this stage the driving looks pretty bad but th fighting look great, not too keen on their bullet-time either.

Well I ordered it for the GC so basically it's the closest thing I can get to GTA3 and Max Payne. The branching story line really attracted me too.

I heard activision (or whoever is making this game) is getting sued because it copies off of a book some guy made. It's probably something really stupid like, "Your cop in this game shoots guns and punches and kicks bad guys JUST LIKE MYC OP IN MY BOOK!!! SUE SUE"

Yeah, I was pretty hyped for awhile. When they announced it way back when there wasn't anything good to play on Xbox. Now that it's almost out there are so many other great games coming out that I think I'm going to pass unless it gets super reviews. I'm excited about Rainbow Six 3 and Crimson Skies which are do out over the next week!

I played a demoo and looks very like gta. May be improved over the next few weeks but the control system let it down a little. The soundtrack is supposed to be excellent.

Ehh... the only game that should have ever had bullet time is max payne and max payne 2.... but nevertheless..... true crime looks pretty good...I probably won't be buying it though, looks more like a renter.

Bullet time in this game works more like it did in Dead to Rights. I have this game and so far I'm loving it, I'm having more fun than I had with GTA.
