Halo PC Demo - Sucks
 

Tried the Halo PC Demo.


Any and all multiplayer servers that I join seem to suffer from massive lag, even with sub 50 ms pings.

Also, you get disconnected for no reason sometimes..


And at the end of the game when you quit, you're forced to sit through an advertisement to buy the full game.


Sucks.

Mmmm i have the full game, and i suffer none of the problems you seem to have. Must be your computer or your connection causing the lag or the disconnection. And most Demo's have advertisement to buy the real game at the end, afterall it is only a Demo! Get the whole game its great

Dude, they've been doing that for more than 10 years! Remember all those Commander Keen games, Duke Nukems? Apogee games? They have every right to do so, you're playing a portion of a retail game for free, so of course they're going to want some money payback from you somehow.

I haven't played the demo as yet but the full game does have a few performance issues (yes, even on my FX 5900) but it doesn't really bother me 'cause I found the game uninteresting.

i got the full game and it sucks ass. not worth all the hype.

cs > halo multiplayer anyday of the week and hl1 single player might be better.

I personally am having a great time with Halo. The single player is pretty fun so far but I have mostly been playing multiplayer. This game has finally gotten me back into online gaming since I haven't really been since Tribes, Q2, and super early CS betas. I used to die for Tribes, and Halo is a lot like it online and that is just plain fun.

I am having no problems with graphics or connection by the way.
