Steam installer for Half-Life CS mod
 

Having been out of the loop for a while, I have no idea what this "Steam Installer" has to do with Counterstrike, but it is apparent that I'm going to need it in order to install v1.6 on my new computer. The problem is, it's a DOS installer (seems a bit odd to me) and when I run it I get "Program too big to fit in memory."

WinXP Home SP1
Athlon XP3000+
512MB DDR
GeForce4 MX

I tried playing with compatibility options, memory options, increasing my virtual memory size, everything I've tried before, but nothing works. I've solved this problem before with other programs, I just don't remeber how.

Probably a stupid question to ask, but how much HD space do you have? If I recall correctly, this complete install takes over 1gb... I didn't have any problems installing Steam, but I've seen that error affiliated with HD space issues before.

hmm, the steam i had wasent a dos install i dont think, it was around 800mb with hl and cs i think, my brother got it though so Im not sure. I thnk it came with dod too

I have around 115 gigs free
