MAX PAYNE 2: The Trailer

The trailer won't make you jizz your pants but it's very cool nonetheless. Max Payne 1 was hallmark in gaming storytelling and action, though Max Payne 2 will unlikely be as novel as the original it should still be an epic blast. I certainly cannot wait for this one, and to think it is stated for release at the end of mext month, brilliant.

p.s. I heard that the trailer is being run on FX 5900 Ultra's but don't quote me on that!

Don't worry. I won't. I promise.

EDIT: Just realised I DID. Oh the irony of it all.

I'll certainly get a copy - but I'm surprised how little this has pinged my radar. I bought a new rig for Max Payne 1, whereas with this one I'm willing to wait a while. Must be anticipation over HL2 that has my enthusiasm for this one muted.

I just need to save up a little money for it...

This title is gonna rock! If may not have the bleeding-edge graphics of HL2, but nothing beats gameplay and atmosphere!

I remember really wanting to shoot up some dudes after they killed the wife in MP1...

The original was awesome. It had a lot of style and full of great voice acting and cool cutscenes. Max seems to have aged in part 2 and a Rockstar and Remedy pairing is really cool.

I hope Max changes his shirt in this game. Maybe then he won't have that "what's that stench?" look on his face.

Gonna be a tough season...so many great games coming. Wow, hope I don't need to eat, work, take out the trash, or go anywhere.

I have to laugh, though...the 'love' scene in this trailer was silly...looked like two octopi writhing on a street corner. And, quite frankly, the new chick in HL2 is much better looking.... (LOL..I cant believe I'm comparing women in games. This is really sad)

I for one (and probably the only one) am not looking forward to Max Payne 2, I (again probably the only one) hated the first one as it was.

The new Barbie game is coming out next month, same as the new Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen horse riding game, more your kinda thing? I know a lot of people who couldn't get into MP1 too, they said it was too engaging and that you couldn't just pick it up and shoot everyone.

Of course I disagree with them not liking it but to each his own.

Hell yeah, I can't wait for this one. I just started playing through the original (again) to freshen up on my Max Payne story line. I just hope they had enough money to hire some actual actors this time around. Ever notice that Max Payne looks a whole lot like a computer programmer in a black leather jacket? ... and the villians? More computer programmers with cheesy meniacal grins.

Those seem to be more your kinda games seeing as you know their release dates, Deflok lol. And I didn't hate Max Payne for it's gameplay, I hated it because the story sucked and the dialog was horrendous.

The dream sequences were pretty frightening. I'm looking forward to the sequel and since it should be coming out sometime soon I may be able to beat it before HL2 comes out. *Sigh* I loathe being unemployed.

I always though his neck was too thin for a proper action hero.

Some nice hi-res videos for Max Payne 2, five in total. It shows the modified physics system, and pretty much explosions. It was nice to hear James McCaffrey as Max's voice again.

They're changing the actor. Originally it was Sam Hall, who was also a lead visionary for the entire Max Payne project. They probably picked him to save a few bucks.

Which is too bad - I really liked the scrawny-guy-with-a-deep-deep-voice thing he had going. I'll be sad to see him replaced by some macho action hero type.
