Consoles Vs. PC

Just out of curiousity, how many of you are specifically console or specifically PC gamers. I consider myself both but I'd like to find out about the rest of you.

I'm from the both category, as well. I would say that a high-end PC can do anything that a console can do, but there are just certain types of games that play better on the console. Namely, fighting games and sports games. However, I like the mouse/keyboard combination for first-person shooters, and strategy games are just easier on PC. So, definitely both.

I Like the PC's. They are always upgradeable to the next level of graphics and chipsets. I'm so used to the mouse/keyboard I couldn't switch. You can get any controller you want for the PC too.

Some games, like FPS's, just work out better for PC. Others, like third person action adventure type things, work out better for the console.

Hasnt this been done a million times already? I say both, consoles are great for fighting games, rpgs, party games, and many action games. But nothing can touch a mouse and keyboard for FPS's and RTS's. Both are great.

Both here.. but personally I think the controls for Halo were frikkin awsome compared to playing any other FPS on the PC. Other than that though Generally I agree PC is much better for FPS.

There isn't even an arguable debate with this topic. Both builds have incredibly good games and both excel in different areas that the other does not. I chose both because I enjoy games on PCs and consoles. Denying one or the other is simply denying a cubic asslode of incredible gaming experiences.

Well I started this not to argue for one or the other, just wanted to see how the rest of the community split.

I realize that, but some of the replies were on the debate of which is better, not which is played.

Greatly prefer PC games, but I'll play on either if the game's good enough.

Except for shooters. I have yet to learn to control the game with a gamepad.

Definately PC. The only console I own is my GBA and that's because my PC won't fit in my pocket and go with me anywhere.

i like both but i think i like console gaming more cuz i dont have to be constantly upgrading my cpu to play them. I usually play rpgs and i like console rpgs usually better than pc ones so it suits me pretty well for now. besides most pc rpgs will probably come to the xbox

I own both but I defiantly go more for the PC gaming. While I can always find something new to play on the PC on consoles there seem to be rather large chunks of time where there are no new releases on the consoles.

I don't exactly have anything against consoles but...

My favorite genres would have to be RTS and FPS. In those respects the PC is clearly the dominant platform.

PC. Very few console games not also (usually originally) available on PC have ever held my attention for very long.

If console games were also released for PC, I would never buy a console... but since there are tons of games that aren't available for pc, I have to do both.
Hey, what about the extensive library of macintosh games? Don't they get a place in this poll?
