nag in MGS2: Sons of Liberty
 

I know I'm late, but I'm just now playing this game. I can't stand Raiden's little girlfriend, Rose. She's such a freakin' NAG!!! Here he is in the middle of combat, and all she can say is, "Do you like me for my brains, or my beauty?" SHUT UP!! I'M TRYIN TA KILL THIS DUDE BEFORE HE KILLS ME!!

I really like the graphics of this game, but Rose and Raiden (I'm a man but I look like a woman) are removing joy from my playtime.

Yeah Rose is pretty annoying, so is the convoluted plot that can't be followed without a flow chart.

All the codec bits in MGS2 are annoying, still a great game though.

The part near the end of the game where the guy is saying "you've been playing this game too long, I think you need to turn it off right now", I actually turned the game off... I had been playing the game for eleven hours and thought they were actually telling me to turn the game off. :(

That game was an awesome game. I was so obsessed with it. I beat it in every difficuly, collected all the dog tags, but i haven't played the game for a really long time . . . i miss those days. Maybe i might just start playing it again someday.

I liked the first one better, loved the part where the psychic guy tells me I am wreckless because I had only saved the game once or twice up until that point.

I agree, Raiden just didn't cut it like Snake did.

It really bears playing at least twice, and the second time you'll have at least an inkling of what's going on, rather than being constantly mystified by people talking over your head. Or you could do what all good MGS fanboys like me do, and dig up The Document of Metal Gear Solid 2. Has a complete script, with actor's directions and unspoken subtext in it.

Rose is a total shrew. I'll take E.E., personally.:D Or maybe Mei Ling.

Raiden wasn't too bad, it's just they paired him up with the craziest plot ever, is what really turned me off to the game. I still haven't beaten it yet though.

The reason why Rose is nagging all the time is because she feels inferior seeing as how Raiden is prettier than her.

I just beat MGS2: Substance recently for the X-Box, and it's really an incredible game (although I don't like it as much as the first MGS...but it's hard to top that one). Rose is one annoying chick though, that is for sure. Give me Mei Ling anyday.

Oh, and what's his name (Colonial? Don't remember) nearly had me fooled too with "It's time to shut this off now". I'd been playing for about 4 hours, and I had just got caught by the enemies...then when that Codec message popped-up, I was about ready to turn it off, heh. Luckily, I was too lazy to get out of the bed to turn it off.

i don't know what some of you are talking about, raiden could kick that little pussy snakes ass anyday . . . thats right . . . oh i said it . . . that pretty boy would mess snake up.

Yeah, Snake was awesome as hell in the first one. The first one still remains one of the great cinematic masterpieces of videogaming. When Snake takes out Liquid in the Hind D helicopter, the camera pans down in front of Snake. As the helicopter blows up, the flames shoot up behind Snake. "That takes care of the cremation." What a fucking badass!

I look at MGS2 this way. Its still better than Snake's Revenge (the craptacular "sequel" to the original Metal Gear we got here in North America instead of the great Metal Gear: Solid Snake they got in Japan) so I can deal with it.
