What is this game???

I cannot think of the title of this game. It was on the NES and you went from planet to planet collecting parts for some type of gold ultimate ship. While you were doing that you blew up bad guys and collected money to buy better ships and parts for those ships. Anyone know this?

That's only like every game ever made from 1983-1988. Do you know who made it? or can you describe the main character at all?

It was the late 80's ( 87 or 88). Gravity played a huge part in the game. Hope this helps, because it doesn't for me.

Magic Golden Ship Planet-hopping Gravity Fighter.

There was an SNES version too:

Super Magic Golden Ship Planet-hopping Gravity Fighter.

I'm guessing Solar Jetman where you have a little egg shaped ship. Different planets had different gravities. Still one of my favorite games even though I've only played it once about 13 years ago.

That reminds me of Escape Velocity on the Mac. That game was so fun. I heard they are finally porting a version to the PC!

Yes, it is solar jetman. There it was, the whole time, on my emulator. Thank you very much. Now I'm going to go play duck hunt.
