My first game was Pong, way, way, way, way back in the old days.
Then, I graduated to Atari, playing memorable games such as Defender, and ET. After that, it was the NES, then SNES, finally got a PC capable of playing games, skipped a generation in consoles, until I finally have my GameCube.

My parents thought TV game systems (consoles) were evil, so I would always go to my friends' and cousins' house to play Nintendo. The first console game I played was Super Mario Brothers.
I did have an Apple IIgs and I am thinking that one of the first games I played on that was either Oregon Trail or Number Munchers. I also owned all the early handhelds (Gameboy, Gamegear, Nomad) as that is one thing my parents allowed me to play. The Sega Nomad was great as it allowed me to play Genesis games in handheld form. Since then I have gotten a PSOne, and now a PS2.

My first video game ever was Pac-Man on one of those old table top machines that you don't see anymore. I was like five and never made it out of the first level.

Pong, on a yellow console the size of a large keyboard. At each end of the console was a single dial to control your paddle. It had 4 games:

The first game I played was most likely Pac-Man or Space Invaders on the old Atari. But the first I really remember spending time with was Altered Beast for the Sega Genesis.
I still remember those classic opening words RISE FROM YOUR GRAVE

PONG....my older brother had the "Pong console". It was pretty darn cool at the time.
I can't remember the first upright arcade game I played. It may have been Space Wars or Star Castle. It was pretty funny how they made Star Castle a "color" game by putting colored plastic overlays on the screen. |

It was a shooting gallery that was an old ghost town. Most of it was physical pop up figures that went down from the light of the gun hitting them. In the center was a movie of a gun fighter that would draw his gun. This is real old school.
