What's the best xbox 360 game online right now?
 

Hi Friends,

As of right now what's the best online game as far as shooters go? I know modern warfare 2 is coming out and I'll be getting that even though I didn't like modern warfare. But anyways what's the best games as of now?

Battlefield Bad Company 2 is the best shooter currently out. MW2 sucked relative to MW.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is probably the best. Though the console versions of MW2 are good as well.

MW2 does it for me. easy to play, I can be entertained for about 3 games, and log of without being stuck there too long.

I didnt want to pick up BC2 because it seemed too much like MW2 cept with vehicles.

So I picked up splinter cell: conviction. damn hard game if you ask me. lol havent tried it online yet though.

Left 4 Dead 1&2 are good/fun shooters. I'd say Modern Warfare 2 is the most popular one right now. Battlefield Bad company 2 is a little slower paced than MW2 and has some vehicles + the ability to blow up pretty much everything from trees to buildings. I still prefer Battlefield 1942 over it tho with mods when it comes to the Battlefield series, but that's just PC.

MW2 is good, BC2 looks good but I haven't played it. I also recently got borderlands which is an FPS-RPG. I haven't had time to play it yet but I hear it is awesome.

BC2 has a long heritage, tracing many of its features (spotting, vehicles, air combat, defined classes) to BF1942 and BF2. So while your sentiment is somewhat correct, to be historically accurate it would be "MW2 because it seemed too much like BFBC2 but without the vehicles.."

well in MY history that is how I saw it. hehe.

but historically, I say you are right. but I just so happen to buy MW2 first.

I think it sucks. Nice to see non-Epic games applciations of the Unreal engine, but Borderlands isn't really an RPG. No dialogue choices that profoundly affect the game - its always "go kill these people and i'll give you X". And repetitive respawning/looping of critters is frustrating. In a proper RPG, once you clear an area it either stays clean, or the storyline for that area advances.

Not really. It's an action RPG. It's very much like an FPS Diablo. Nothing like western RPG's. And in most all RPG's the monsters respawn.

Definitely Bad Company 2.
I enjoyed mw2 until I got my hands on BC2... haven't looked back since.

You have to look at it like Diablo. It is more about leveling and collecting cool gear. Most multiplayer RPGs don't give you much choice in terms of dialog choices. If you want that type of game you really need to go single player.

Oh, but on topic, I agree that BFBC2 is the best shooter out there currently, but me and my friends mostly play Gears2 private party games, simply because its SO rewarding to headpop your best friend with the butt of a shotgun.
