Anybody remember the Lightcycles from TRON?
 

I came across this game first when I tried out Linux, then after my experiment with opensource OS was over, managed to find an even better version online at
Armagetron Advanced :: a Tron clone in 3D; it's a blockade style racing game modeled on the lightcycle sequence from the 1982 movie "TRON."

Basically, you drive a motorcycle which trails a wall behind it, the idea being to trap your opponents so that they crash into the wall. The screenshots from the website don't do the graphics justice, it's very colourful, fastpaced and very addictive. And free!

I forgot all about Armagetron... great game!

I loved Armagetron. I bet I can run that shit at over 9000 FPS now.
