The game doesn't suck, its just not that good right now. It may be ok when the SE comes out, but until then I would not waste your money beta testing er I mean "playing" this game.

I betaed this game for several months. The only redeeming factor in SWG is the Dev team. They have a commitment to the community that i havent seen better anywhere...and i have seen a few.

One of the bad things about the game is the fact that it was released several months to early to make Sonys ½year result look better.

Even though the game has some of the most experienced MMORPG design teams of all time, they managed to make a lot of mistakes. There is an underlying balance to everything in the game that makes for a somewhat boring experience.

The whole Single Character Server issue is also very bad. As is the ridiculous implementation of Jedi rarity. The game was also touted as a skillbased game, instead of level based as EQ and DAOC. In reality it IS levelbased, though masked a bit to look skillbased..

To me it is simply an undertested, severely flawed game that looses its attraction very very quickly... it is a shame, because it had a lot of potential.
