How do I hook up a Sega 32x?
I bought a pile of used Genesis stuff from a garage sale ages ago, but I cannot figure out how to hook up the 32x. Naturally I know to cram the 32x into the Genesis cartridge slot, but I have a couple questions.
1. Do both the Genesis and 32x need to be plugged in for power? (I only have one A/C adapter.) 2. How do I set up the out to the TV? The Genesis itself has a video out and the 32x has both a video in and out, so I'm assuming I plug the Genesis out into the 32x in and the 32x out into the TV, but I lack the appropiate cables to do this. The cable that came with the 32x has one end that fits into the Genesis and 32x slots and a larger end that I don't know where it goes. It doesn't fit into any plug I know of (see pic below). I also have a Genesis to RCA cable and a Genesis to coaxial box/cable. ![]() Any advice much appreciated. Thanks.

My 32x is a half hour away or I'd go check how I wired it.. it's been so long.
The best I can do is http://www.sega-16.com/forum/showthr...?t=1055&page=2 It sounds like you might indeed need a special cable to do it..
