I think im in the minority when I say that this looks like shit.. BF2 graphics are way better than that video, even if its a beta..

Plus, I never did like mechs.. or WW2 battles either.. real times for me!

LOL... glad you changed your mind...

I miss the Mechwarrior games. This should make it more arcade like though instead of worrying about your Mech's layout you can just hop in and go. I just hope we don't need one of those new 7900's to run it.

Yeah, I saw that recently. I hadn't seen the trailer though. That game is gonna be freaking crazy. The only thing that bothers me is that they're releasing it just over a year after BF2...a little early if ya ask me!

Yeah, I hope releasing it early doesn't affect the quality of the game, which may very well be the case with EA publishing it.
They have some great games, but for the most part it's "Hmmm, this game made us some money. Therefore if I make another one, it will make more money. What? It will take 3 years to make it? Screw that, I want money now! Who cares if it has bugs, just release a patch or something, I'm counting my money. Who cares about the users, I have their money already."

Hmmm, a little rantier than I was going for, but oh well.

I know what you mean with EA being like they are.... but I for one will give them the benefit of the doubt until the game comes out and proves otherwise. I'm just gonna imagine that maybe it was in development along side BF2 and they took the extra year to perfect it.

Hey I can dream can't I?

DICE did develop Battlefield Vietnam and Battlefield 2 at the same time. Production began on BF2 like 2 months after the concepts of BF Vietnam had started. They develop one engine, and then begin working on the next immediately so the games aren't too far apart.

I feel your pain, bro. They just don't get it, do they? Sigh. However, there might be hope yet: This month's PCGamer has an article about how to turn She Who Must Be Obeyed into a gamer. Might be worth a looksie.
