I've been a member of this site for quite some time now: Free Internet Chess Server (FICS). I actually haven't played on there in awhile... so I was thinking maybe a few TFPers would be interested in playing. If you've played scrabble on isc.ro (see another thread in Tilted Gaming), the interface is similar. It's free too! And chess is a very intellectual game.

I used to play chess regularly on yahoo chess. I got my score relatively high and then started playing other games.

If you don't mind consistently kicking my behind, I don't mind playing with you once in a while.

Assuming I figure out how to use the system you use.

Oh, SWEET. I love chess, and I am much better at it than hideous Scrabble.

I should mention that my FICS login name is 'wca'. The reason is because I signed up there 2 years before I knew about TFP. This alias I use I first used on TFP.

I used to play nationally over here a loooooooong time ago, i don't know if i can even remember the rules now, come on good long term memory! lol.

im forced to play on fics with atleast a 5sec lag/move, thanks to which lightning is impossible and anything below 5/5 becomes very tough for me
coz of that i dont risk playing rated games either :s

Just so everyone knows... I'm on TFP IRC chat at night... usually when I'm bored enough that a game of internet chess would be fun. I don't think the board is a great way to arrange these games, so if you're interested, try hitting me up on chat!
