Truthfully: I'm deeply saddened to note a few members only regularly ontribute and/or come back around dese parts to notch another tally in the WAs.
I can't change there minds, and I should stop griping about it, but I suppose, it only stregthens my resolve to bury them whenever I can find the chance. |

Now I'm one dering,
with a background jungle beat, around the bushes. I think explaining our desire for the numbers would help with a few. |
If I'm following you, I believe I already elucidated (couldn't think of a less, formal, synonym, in time) the overwhelming purpose of our samba shack.
T L ; T E I'm still waiting to hear back on our request for Hall of Fame induction. (as well as some aid in the Picture-Linkage thread regarding broken images.) |
I'm following you,
I meant some particular personal invites. (2x3)-8-4=-6 |
Should we hold a party on the anniversary?
Was it this week? Or next month? |
Written down somewhere,
I couldn't really tell you, but Zook' & 'Nick could. |
Jan 6. click to show (or ... the day after, The Twelfth Day of Christmas) |
I knew you could find it without me, though I would have tried my best to help if you hadn't already answered the question.
I suppose we could figure out some kind of virtual party to celebrate an anniversary of this thread, though I like real parties the best. Can I do something in this regard? Any suggestions? |

ahh yes. I have fun memories from such an event here:
Murder Mystery at The Mohonk Mountain House - New Paltz, New York http://www.mohonk.com/images/popupim...tinghere_1.jpg |
Which reminds me:
When I stayed at Mohonk once, I signed up to have a hefty masseuse named Inga give me a massage. She was quite strong and it was an invigorating massage. But what also brought this to my mind right now was the report I just read about Martina Navratilova: Associated Press NAIROBI, Kenya - Martina Navratilova was hospitalized in Kenya because of fluid accumulation in her lungs after attempting to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. The 54-year-old tennis great is expected to recover. Navratilova was diagnosed with high-altitude pulmonary edema, Dr. David Silverstein, a consultant in cardiology and internal medicine at Nairobi Hospital, said Friday. "It is potentially dangerous when someone is at high altitude, but once brought down, recovery is quick," he said. "Martina is doing well and will continue to do well." She is expected to spend two to three days in the hospital, Silverstein said. Navratilova was assisted down Africa's highest peak by porters and driven to the Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre. She had reached nearly 14,800 feet when forced to give up, according to the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation. She was flown to the Nairobi Hospital for more tests. She was trying to climb the mountain in Tanzania to raise money and awareness for the sports foundation as part of a 27-person team. It faced heavy snows and mist since beginning the trek Monday up the 19,340-foot mountain. "I'm disappointed not to be able to complete this amazing journey," Navratilova said in a statement. "It was something that I have wanted to do for so long, but it was not to be. So she's waited for the longest time, but she will have to try again another day. As some of you may have read in his recent thread about it, our very own dlish successfully climbed Kili recently so I'm glad to conclude that dlish seems to be in better shape than this 54 year old woman tennis champion. |
Breathing is important. There was a thread about that, too, maybe I'm right, and how barely anyone breathes the "correct" way.
Still, I'd think any world-class tennis champion, former or not, should have the stamina to climb mountains and drain rivers. Injuries and afflictions are a random misfit in life, though, so I pray for her speedy recovery, and may she try, try again. |

such humor prevails
re: dlish & Martina, comparison fails. |

TV's so easy as traps to fall into go sometimes I do so. |
I get caught in all sorts of voids.
I sometimes come out green and burly, though at others, I escape with some yet uncaptured knowledge. I hate fighting. |
Fighting in fun can be fun, as long as you can keep it under some control to prevent serious injury. My buddies and I used to frequently "chest box" where you're only allowed to strike above the belt and below the neck. It was fun and partially proved we were "men" ;)
Our house now has more TV's than I've ever owned in my life, and most of them are quite large widescreen, a couple high def...and I watch almost no TV at all. Not much on TV interests me except for an occaisonal car related show or science or about our world so on average that amounts to less than 1 hour per week. |
Funny you should mention it... I just randomly caugh about 15 min. of MotorWeek for the first time in over a year. (I almost thought they cancelled it.)
|
Went to a 30th birthday party last night.... Not a single chair anywhere
|
hmmm. no chairs? You mean no chairs available since people were sitting on them, or there were no chairs at the party? Any sofas? Beds?
|
OR: you could have truly impressed ALL the ladies, and even some falootin' fellas, by doing the ELECTRIC CHAIR, for two, NO! THREE hours!
http://th01.deviantart.com/fs25/300W...by_Aegwynn.jpg |
or you could have just brought a couple of electric bikes:
http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...SHya_11446.jpg It’s not yet officially official, however, a seating capacity of eight and a 5.2 meters long body will sure help the Chinese-made electric bike to register itself as the World’s Longest Electric Bike in Guinness World Records. The bike was showcased during the Zhejiang International Bicycle Electric-Cycle Exhibition. |
No chairs, stools, blocks of wood, sofa's, beds, bunks, bricks, dead/dying/prone bodies. Nothing to sit on, at all by anyone. No lawn, window sills... Nothin', Nada, zip, Fuck all, even.
Everyone stood, until they left, then they left, walkin' |
Less than an hour ago, I just lost about two weeks' worth of work, research and curation.
God. What' with me and procrastination, my lazy-fellow-fattied-friend? I just needed to listen to one more song by Neon Indian, didn't I? Then my browser crashed. Ah. I still have more than a year's worth of stuff in my backlog, so I'm guessing a week's worth of bloglog (which, roughly, equates to about 10 x 16 x 10 x 2 x 5 = wait? before the 5 came in, was that 3,200? I trawl through 3,200 separate links, articles, pictures, videos, theses, and random asides in a given week? No wonder I hate the internet so much. It's like I've given myself another job to do.) isn't too much of a waste. Perhaps I'm the waste? My mind isn't readily capable to process this much information. (And that's also the mayhaps reason why my foray into learning to speak fluent Japanese / Portuguese has been delayed by at least four years.) Incorrigible? That's the word, I guess. Incorrigible, indomitable, miserly, abhorrant people. People who passively-force their guests to stand and meander around like cattle for hours on end without rest. Snobs. |
You're definitely not the waste. Just a bit wasted!
http://usingit.files.wordpress.com/2...-explosion.jpg Sounds as though you could use a rest from all that work anyway. As long as it doesn't keep you from TFP. |
Jet, one of my current mottos is "he that has the best mental input filter for the internet shall inherit the earth". That Jewish guy probably already said that since he's omni-intellectual like me.
Zooks, why couldn't you just lay down on the floor/ground? What's wrong with that? Was anybody naked? |
Omni-Intellectuals
must have a heavy onus on them when it's time to pick & choose. |

It's called (tentatively) "The Lying-Down Game" [alternative: Flatliners]. I have a few resources for it, but here's one example of wutziteyemean: http://30.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_ld...m7q1o1_500.jpg -- (to note: I'm not sure if the 'flatliner' above is alive; it resembles an eccentic statue.) Most of what I'd ideally like to share are humans doing this, but I suppose pets, and babies, and eerie statues that embody the soul of the aim can also be contributed. I don't think Photography or Artwork is the proper forum, but I don't want to start it here either, lest it get buried within the first two days. I'll think of something. |

It's like I once stated: (herein) I'm like a Lepidopterologist, out in the field with my butterfly net, throwing hurricane swings, but my catcher has moth-eaten holes, an I stay outside longer, exerting myself more, for minimal gain in the end. I just try to simplify it for myself by arranging my library just so, writing down reminder notes anywhere I can (just so I can forget about them, until I need 'em) and why I've transformed my web browser 4 years ago into my personal webnotebook of eccentric trivials. informational education This is what one of my notes entitled 'Pro Photography' contains: (personal portfolios) Pro Photography click to show Now imagine hundreds more genre-specific notes raning from topic like RECENT FILMS (that I have watched for the first time ever, fully) to the perceived implications of the mental visual when one is confronted with a Big Red Button. I could say I need a break (which I will be receiving this Tuesday, yes) but I've been on a break for months now. I'm just taking it slow: a post or three there, and that's it. I have just 15 minutes writing this one, and it will vanish by tomorrow. I try too hard, if only to appease myself. - - - How's the weather for you guys? Delightful? (does it rhyme with 'delightful', at least.) |
frightful rhymes with delightful = It's raining and cold, and later it will stop raining and get a lot colder.
