Yes, those are all pictures of Mt. St. Helens during that humungous eruption on May 18, 1980. The last one is a recent pic of the new dome building in the caldera.

What inspired me was last night I saw an amazing "video" sequence that was constucted from many still pics with scientists extrapolating mass movements and filling in with photoshop type techniques...it was amazing, but I couldn't find it online, so I collected a bunch of stills and these are some of what I found.

They took the fruity shapes out of my Trix cereal recently, so it now looks like technicolor Cocoa Puffs, and the legacy of the white rabbit is now dead seeing as I now have no semblances of fruit floating in milk to live for anymore.

Back to Honey Bunches of Oats w/ Peaches, Strawberries, Bananas for me.

BadNick 09-29-2008 06:23 AM

Jet,
it's probably too late by now, but if you'd have stashed away all the Trix for a rainy day you might not be having this problem now...siwwy wabbit shoulda done what smart little monkey see and do

(I took out a syllable, wrongly, damnit! The last line should have "could" or "would", instead of "'d".

Mea culpa.

This could be a very interesting experiment indeed.

ohh...and by the way...OCM, DOES speak the truth,
I have witnessed that it is incapable for him to do otherwise.

I've noticed that some substances seem to loosen my tongue up pretty good...though the accuracy of what comes out is beyond my control

The tiny Petron bottles make lovely little bud vases.

Hey OCM! I had luck in identifying that tree we found with the very
large leaves.

It is called a Royal Paulownia, native to China I believe.

If I could post a picture of one, for you folks, I would.

The leaves I am pressing must be at least three or more feet across.

jewels, you'e from Florida, right? So you may have first hand knowledge about new Margaritaville ventures. I don't generally like "light" beers but this one is pleasant and easy to drink a few to accompany some good munchies.

jewels 09-30-2008 06:05 AM

Oh is that a Florida beer? Never heard of it. I'm usually a 'rita or Corona girl, with the exception of a beautiful local amber I had in a pizza place in Seattle once.

They've got some great culinary delights down Key West way. I used to go quite often on weekends when a friend would let us use the house he had and rented seasonally. Those were the good days.

I don't drink tea. I actually never drink hot liquids. A lemon ICED tea can be ok. But I would rather have a lemonade. Long Island Ice Teas are probably the best.

BAdNick has filled the void of another occasional resident I haven't seen for awhile in this ever-expaninding little parade known as the Longest thread EvER?: any guesses as to whom I am referring to in the case? (hint: screenname also started with a 'B', and resolved with a proper familiar name...)

BadNick 10-01-2008 07:00 PM

Jet, it sounds like you said a nice thing about me...thank you...but I have no idea who you're referring to. Please do tell or give more clues at least.

These monks have been doing this for a long time, though not the Longest yet...and they seem to know what they're doing, and I can attest to that again after having a couple of these...my youngest son took this pic as I was having a couple Chimay ales, which I let him taste as I tried to teach him how to sense the subtle flavors. He liked the cool foam:
