MOAB,
I think if we took a poll here...maybe we should make this democratic and actually have a vote...I believe that most people would vote that your insensitive, dictatorial posts in this thread are much more of a turnoff to participation than any poem or haiku or other personal preference of other posters. There could be a fine line between free expression and unnecessarily hurtful comments and IMO you crossed the line. I think I understand your feeling of investment in getting this thread to be longest ever, but your bullying is getting me pissed off and has almost put a damper on my own attraction to this thread; but I've endured because of other people here who I like....including you when you're not a bully. It's never too late to change and be more open to others. |
I love poetry no matter how you define it.
I love pictures, silliness and Chicken Little. I love randomness. If randomness is important, why would one miss haiku comments? Romance feels good and is joyous, even to a voyeur. Negativism is not inviting. Makes the family not want to visit often. Life is too short to bitch. Sometimes time doesn't move until one takes their eyes off the clock. Some people are blindsided by unhappiness with themselves and feel better blaming it on others. Some people just wanna dance and sing and kiss their screens. http://img2.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/...ed/anim_30.gif And some of us want to thank GoodNick  This is NONSENSE, man! Let's get back to FUN! |
We need more sunshine in this thread today.

I like eggs
|
I adore eggs,
especially the dark yellow yolky goodness of a happy chicken egg. I heard this Crosby Stills and Nash song three times in three days, so I felt the need to share the lyrics. Teach Your Children by Graham Nash You, who are on the road Must have a code That you can live by. And so, become yourself Because the past Is just a goodbye. Teach your children well Their father's hell Did slowly go by And feed them on your dreams The one they picks The one you'll know by. Don't you ever ask them why If they told you, you would die So just look at them and sigh And know they love you. And you (Can you hear and) Of tender years (Do you care and) Can't know the fears (Can you see we) That your elders grew by (Must be free to) And so please help (Teach your children) Them with your youth (You believe and) They seek the truth (Make a world that) Before they can die (We can live in) Teach your parents well Their children’s hell Will slowly go by And feed them on your dreams The one they picks The one you’ll know by. Don’t you ever ask them why If they told you, you would cry So just look at them and sigh And know they love you. |
i know. it's cool. i just prefer doing this than reading ^.

I know you have been pleased that your cactus are doing well,
do you have room in your house to add anymore? I remember the pictures you posted of your cactus, and how did that futon you ordered ever work out? If I remember correctly, you were not to pleased with it at first. |

jewels and Jetee,
due to the nature of those youtube vids, I wonder if either of you ever listen to a regular radio show called Echoes? Around here it's on every night on WXPN Penn radio Echoes: Ambient Music on Public Radio ...I think you might enjoy it if you can get it on your local radio...or if you sign up at their site you can listen online. Echoes was created in 1989, but the two people who created it started at Univ. of Penn when I was in college back in the early 70's. So back then it was unique on the radio and very "spaced out" so needless to say, I had to listen and trip on the sounds Echoes (radio program - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) |

Hope you are feeling better soon. All these new computer and forum changes have left me confused. I never was too savvy with this techno world to begin with. I'm off to press colorful leaves in some books. I hope everyone is having a good day. |
Probably not the longest, but this is a pretty long trail...pic I took at the Wheels & Warbirds show at NJMP in Millville NJ this weekend:

A random quote from a book.
Irish people have a highly developed appetite for magic. Much of their lore concerns fairies- good and bad, large and small. When you are in Ireland, it's wise to keep an open mind about fairies. As one Irishman put it, "I dont' believe in fairies, but they're there." |
A random quote from Francois de la Rochefoucauld:
When we are unable to find tranquility within ourselves, it is useless to seek it elsewhere. |
a random quote from me: RANDOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Small wonder artisnal jams are all the rage these days. The decorative jars contain preserves made with little batches of perfectly ripe fruit, meaning they have a naturally sweet taste you can't get from mass-produced spreads. So why not make them in your own kitchen? Early autumn, when temperatures are cooler, fall fruits are at their best, and holiday season is fast approaching (homemade preserves make lovely gifts), is an ideal time to try your hand." - Vegetarian Times October 2008
