Right on target. ;)
it's a joke...a joke a joke. Sheesh. I need a strong drink, I'm buyin' a round for all. |
Mmmmmm a drink? I'll go for orange juice this time of the morning.

gg,
I love a nice fresh OJ, too...this morning I even gulped the last 10oz or so I had in a jug. But I just got back from lunch where fermented brews were the "rigeuer de jour" ...I made those words up, sounds French doesn't it?...though I unconsciously intended it to sound Flemish since the brew I had with my Italian veal, melted provolone, roast peppers and spinach sandwich (see evidence below) was a Belgian beer called Corsendonk - Abbey Brown Ale...slightly roasted very subtle hop flavor, maybe even an essence of citrus on the hop finish, with a very slight smooth background sweetness that actually disappears after the first one and then it just tastes smooth and mellow. I'm sure you're sort of like that, too. http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...Tonyslunch.jpg edit: oh yeah, home made paper-thin cut Yukon Gold potato chips! Tony's Pub FTW!!! |
mmmm...

One of the reason I've eaten a lot more at Pat's is because I had been going to Pat's for years before Geno's even existed...Geno's opened in 1966. If after a long day bar hopping (normal bars close at 2am in Philly) you just have to have a cheesesteak, there you go, a choice at any time of day or night. But if it's "normal business hours" to the rest of the world, I have to say that in my opinion there are at least a couple better places for cheesesteaks in Philadelphia. Sadly, one of my all time favorites, Dalessandro's in East Falls, is now totally different than it was years ago, operated by someone other than the originals, and is not worth going to. I'll take pictures and post facts of "my favorite cheesesteak" in that thread you just started. I have other favorite foods I'll post, too. Now my stomach is starting to get hunger pangs, damit. |
