We couldn't possibly be out of slack. Slack is all it takes to make slack. It's like fire that way. All you need to make a big fire is a little fire and some sacrificial virgins. Same way with slack (except it doesn't matter if they're virgins or not. Nice, but not required). In any case, if someone is having difficulties understanding the concept of slack, the best thing you can do for them is set them on fire. They will thank you for it.
