Where you guys from, Version 2.0
Come on, Canadian TFP'ers!
Make sure you click HERE and add your location to the board. It is the official TFP map, and located in the nonsense forum. Maybe we can out-populate the yanks and scare them into thinking we are taking over the site!!! I am alone here in the Great White North  , and I need your support. Hell, it's a thousand times better than "Where are you guys from?" Cool concept, but I don't see much action north of 49. Lets go. Especially you Alberta folks: Ooooh, look at me, I pay no tax! My beef tastes good! We are debt free! Bloody wankers... |
I'm in there, you just need to click the up arrow a few times to find it :p
Dude, if you zoom out so that you can see all of the western hemisphere, There you are, all by yourself.
That is the coolest, coolest thing I have seen in a long time. You are like, thousands of kilometres away from the next person. Wow. |
Why the hell did they write Longueuil where Montreal should be?!? That's a Montreal SUBURB, motherf***ers!
Cālisse d'ostie de tabarnak! |
I was one of the first Canucks on the thing. Next to the BC buds.
but myself on the map, had to label it as london, would not allow st thomas
I'm on there all alone in the great city of Ottawa.
I'm there in a little suburb of Vaughn called Toronto. At least that's how the map shows it.
Brantford, Ontario is on the map. w00t!
It sort of sucks that we can't put in out postal code like the Americans can... if you zoom in the map you can see that Paddyjoe and Tecoyah are labelled according to their zip codes (tec lives close to the lake and PJ lives downtown).
In Toronto, Fresnelly, Aberkok and I are all piled one on top of the other... if you zoom in closer it looks like Aberkok lives at Sick Kids hospital and Fresnelly and I live at the Ferry docks. These petty short comings aside, I am loving this (as any map geek would)! |
Just added myself, looks like I'm the only Guelphite here so far...
::EDIT:: hey this was post 400 for me :) |
done. Another bubble piled onto toronto. thanks BigBen, I would never have seen this if you didn't post it.
Charl: you can edit your bubble location by going into your profile, there you can 'nudge' your location and save it. way cool. |
i'm going to have to jump in with all the Toronto folk... (going to do it now)
Last time I tried, it didn't work. But since other Torontonians can get it to work, i'll try again later.
I've been trying to adjust mine like Leto did but having no luck. The instructions in their FAQ don't seem to be accurate anymore. If you succeed, let me know. I wonder if the site is struggling.
you have to save once you move it. I did it a couple of times and forgot to save.
If you think you're alone in Alberta or NWT, at least you've got other provinces around you for company. I'm the only one on this freaking island! But it did get pretty close to my street when you zoom in, unlike Cellophanedeity who seems to be in residence at the SkyDome!
One more representing Halifax, now!
The map tells me that Charlatan is my neighbour. I live on the corner while his place is clearly a secret underwater lair just off the docks.
Shhhhh don't tell anyone about the underwater lair.
Mantus... it didn't realize you were in Toronto. Kulrblind good to see you around and Janey, jump into the Toronto pile! Leto, I have to see about moving my icon... can't have people knowing the location of my secret lair. |
Great... I fixed it but now there are two of me...
i seem to live in a fuckin' grain silo........lovely.
it's close though.........straight up highway 11......(the death highway they call it)....and i live right between the mission bridge and the train tressel, this side of the Fraser River. anybody wanna party? |
wow, lots of T.O. folks. I had no idea. Charleton and Janey are pretty close to me...
