15 Minutes from Everywhere!
This morning I heard a radio advertisement for a car dealer; they claim that they are "15 minutes from everywhere". I can't decide if this is a good thing or a bad thing.
On the good side, this is a great shortcut. Theoretically, I could get anywhere in the world in a half-hour; I just drive 15 minutes to reach the car dealer, then 15 minutes to wherever I need to go. On the bad side, it could be a form of Zeno’s Paradox. I'm always 15 minutes from the dealer, and I can't get any closer. |
Or maybe the car dealer is just in all of our mids and it takes but 15min to relax and concentrate in order to visit them there.
|
Sadly, I think it will have to be heapin' helping of Zeno's Paradox for me... I just drove for 15 and I didn't see the dealership.

is the car dealer famous?

I'm going with Zeno's Paradox. Since they're 15 minutes from everywhere, no matter where you are, you're still 15 minutes away. Even if you're only standing across the street.
Apparently, these guys don't want to sell any cars. |
 Ulysses Everett McGill: "Well isn't this place a geographic oddity. Two weeks from everywhere!"
sorry..couldn't resist. read your thread and made me think immediately of "Oh Brother, where for art thou?" |
like the lady said, there's no there there...
