I'm thinking about changing my user name...
I'm thinking about changing my user name to "Moist Bint".
What do you think? :D Give us your possible new user name. |
I was gonna change mine, but only to my real name, which is hella boring.
So what's with "Moist Bint"? |
what's a "Bint"? do i really want to know?
as far as a new nick for myself... i got nothing. bernadette is as exciting as it's gonna get. although if you want to refer to me a "goddess bernadette", i won't stomp on your foot for it. |

BINT [Q] From Luci Koizumi: “In reading the novel How the Dead Live by Will Self I’ve encountered the unfamiliar word bint in the phrase: ‘widows, spinsters, and bints’. At first I thought this might be similar to an ex in US slang for a divorcee. But when I searched on the Web, I found references that hint at a pejorative connotation.” [A] You’re right: bint is British slang for a woman or girl, but it is always disparaging and offensive and signals the user as lower class and unrefined. It’s also now rather dated. The word is Arabic for a daughter, specifically one who has yet to bear a child. It was in common use as a slang term during the first and second World Wars among British and Allied servicemen stationed in Egypt and neighbouring countries. Sir Richard Burton was the first person to use the word in English, in his Personal Narrative of a Pilgrimage to El-Medinah and Meccah in 1855: “ ‘Allah! upon Allah! O daughter!’ cry the by-standers, when the obstinate bint of sixty years seizes their hands”. So in conclusion Fremen, you now want to be a 'wet girl'. I fuckin knew it all along.... freak  |
ahahahhhahahhahhahaha.........

Good one joe. |
Hehehe, good one pj. :D
I had just read an excerpt of Monty Python's Holy Grail script, where they were calling the Lady in the Lake different names ( Moist Bint), when I decided to add this thread. ;) |
sad thing is i didnt need the translation, being bored enough to read this far back, id say yes moist bint if not watery tart, though i still ove my new favorite insult pop-tart. derogative tart and the geek derogative pop, ive had people thank me for calling them suck a pop-tart before
|
I dunno. Fremen is more versatile... if not as moist, always a negative, I'm sure. :p
I couldn't come up with anything interesting, thus my username. I'm sure you won't be surprised to learn my real name is Jessica. Pretty amazing, hm? Maybe I should go with CheeseGirl? |
"Mr. Bator"
|
I'm in favor of JustJess becoming Cheese Girl, but Fremen should stay Fremen, unless you plan on going around lobbing scimitars at people.
"Watery tart" might be about as good... |
Alright, Fremen it shall stay, so sayeth the speaker of truth, ratbastid. :D
Jess, if it were up to me, your username would stay the same. Personally, I like it. CheeseGirl is.....cheesy. :p Here's the scene from MP and the Holy Grail: Quote:
|
I vote you change your username to Dennis.
But really... how can I continue to amuse myself with the fact that you've never read Dune? It *has* to stay Fremen. I know, I know. How can anyone continue to work that joke... it's soooo tired. You know, Dennis does have a nice ring to it... |
Will 'Dennis the Moistened Bint' fit in that little box over there?
<--------------- |
Hmmm, I guess you could call me DMB, for short. ;)
|
my possible new name: RustyPinto
|
I've been seriously considering changing my name to"thatguyoverthere", for a month or so acutally, but idk
|
One for Cheese Girl, one against. Hm.
Are you still considering Moist Bint, Fremen? Perhaps a variation wouldn't be amiss.. like Wet Thang, or the like. But then again... it's fun to make people work for understanding sometimes. But I like Fremen! I like RustyPinto. Nothing wrong with barenakeladies, but it is suuuure specific. theguyondacouch is YOU, tho. the couch is part of your identity. I'd keep it. :) |
themetrosexualonthefrufruchaiselounge just doesn't conjure up the appropriate image for theguyinthecouch, huh?
