I dont know about you guys but this winter hasnt really been that cold. Usually, up here in the mountains, when you go outside to take a piss you have to snap it off its that cold. And it hasnt rained properly in ages. Maybe global warming is a reality.

today it was *stinking* hot and humid in tokyo.
yesterday was a typhoon... so it was cold, really windy and seriously rainy.
and on saturday we had a grade 5 (richter scale, not j-scale) earthquake (epicentre was 6 in chiba - biggest in the area for 17 years), which scared me shitless since it bounced up and down a few times before it settled and shifted horizontally.

It hasnt been cold in Melbourne yet this year but I'm used to Ballarat winters so Melbourne never seems cold.

Its definately been warmer than normal, check out the snow (or lack of). I've been waiting for a big dump before going snow camping but it doesn't look too promising atm.

It's not cold enough down here in Tassie, compared to last winter we have had comparitively warm days.
We don't even have snow yet on the ski fields and I doubt we'll even get a snow season down here this year, it's even been raining at the mainland resorts in the past week. All i can say is that it is a good thing i'm off to NZ for two weeks in September to catch some snow as there's not going to be any around here!
