What do you think the Nonsense forum is? Now maybe these threads are in the wrong forum, or maybe they are going over the line (as bundy's said). Or maybe they're actually stimulating conversation (no matter how childish) in a forum that's gotten pretty quiet lately.

Maybe it'd be more active if this and the cunt thread didn't exist, maybe not. Meri's dropped off the face of the earth, cchris is never around, Ella's got a guy keeping her busy, slim's not around as much... For all of those I don't see the cunt thread or this thread being at fault. And those guys, cinnles, spindles, bundy, Stick (and more recently dlishguy, Ishmael, Seeker) are the major contributors to this forum. As far as I can tell, no one's left the Australia Forum because of the Cunt thread (this thread's probably too recent to count).

You judge me on a small percentage of posts... what I've said in this and the cunt thread. meh.

Honestly, I think some people are overly prudish about puerile humour. It's all too common in a world gone mad with political correctness.

So bing bing, you of course have a right to give your opinion on others' contributions, but coming along and saying "this is stupid" is about as productive as voting for the family first party. If you think your chastisements are going to change people's attitudes, pass the crack pipe to the left.

If you want to do something productive and lift the brow of this forum, start a thread.

As stated in previous threads, poking fun at political correctness is a form of Australian humour. I for one love it because it reassures me we're not completely overrun by totalitarian empires to the point where joking about it would be treason.

Now this really does suck. To sit down and analyse how and why we post as we do takes all the fun out of it. This place has peaks and troughs. So what?

I'm flat out in all aspects of my life and have very little time for the interweb anymore. When I do come to the Aussie forum, I like to turn my brain off for a while. If I want to use it, I'll post elsewhere on the board. And I'm certainly not modifying that behaviour for anyone!
