Your age by chocolate maths
Your age by chocolate maths...
1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have chocolate. (more than once but less than 10) 2. Multiply this number by 2 (Just to be bold) 3. Add 5. (for Sunday) 4. Multiply it by 50 5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1754.... If you haven't, add 1753 ......... 6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born You should have a three digit number .... The first digit of this was your original number (i.e., how many times you want to have chocolate each week). The next two numbers are .......... YOUR AGE! This is the only year it will ever work (2004) |

- Errr... 1? 2. Multiply this number by 2 (Just to be bold) - okay, 2 3. Add 5. (for Sunday) - Alright, 7. 4. Multiply it by 50 -where the hell is my calculator? Oh wait, I know this... 350 5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1754.... -Err.... shit, I need some paper. Okay, 2104 6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born -Umm... I was born in 1978, so that leaves me with 126 You should have a three digit number .... The first digit of this was your original number (i.e., how many times you want to have chocolate each week). - OH MY LORD! It's 1!! The next two numbers are .......... YOUR AGE! -Whhaa Whaaa WHAAA?? I'm 26! It's a Miracle! This is the only year it will ever work (2004) |
Less than 10 times a week????? Forget it...
|
Ow... number theory makes my brain hurt. But check this out.
Take a 3-digit number. Any number. Multiply it by 7. Multiply it by 11. Multiply it by 13. What do you have? Your number repeated (like 236 becomes 236236). How does it work? Spoiler: 7*11*13 = 1001. Multiply something by 1001, and you're really multiplying it by 1000, then adding it times 1. So for 236, you get (236*1000) + (236*1) or (236000) + (236) |
I fuckin hate math. Screw this test. I know how old I am
Asta!! |
Alright, I was bored so I fiddled with this. If you assume that you never want chocolate, then 1) and 2) equal zero. (5*50+1754) = 2004. (2004 - your birthday) = your age. The 1754, 1753 thing just corrects for not having your birthday yet.
(((2x)+5)50 + 1754)-1986=100x+18 ((2x+5)50 + 1754)-1986=100x+18 100x+250+1754-1986=100x+18 100x+2004-1986=100x+18 100x+18=100x+18 Probably not the most elegant proof out there, but... |
You guys are thinking too much. This is the nonsense board. Oh yeah, some of you aren't thinking enough: "more than once but less than 10."
|
Goddamned motherfuckers.
