I need some assistance and stuff
About 6 Months ago I developed a new laugh that involves me making the noise "buuurrr" and cupping my fingers over my mouth. Its supposed to represent helpless mischievous mirth.
As a result of this, my friend and I decided that different consonant sounds prefixing the sound “uuurrr” represented different emotional responses. For example: Wuuurrrr is the sound you make when you’re crying. Nuuurrrr is a negative sound ie: ‘I don’t want this!’ Uhm…etc… (still with me?) In addition, the consonant sound can often be used to represent another word that you are crying about. http://www.susantaustin.com/pix/bunnies.gif For example: Knuuuuurrrr “I’ve hurt my knee” Huuuurrrr “I’ve hurt my hand” or “I wanted a hamburger” Uhm…etc… (still…? ok, cool) http://www.wxnet.net/home/Picture%20016.jpg However, my friend is stupid, as he pretends that Wuuurrr is laughter and Buuuuurrr is crying. What are youse guys' thoughts? Is wuuurrr crying or not? Its really getting me down and I think I’m gonna have to quit the band. |

I know, but I really need some advice.
|
My advice would be to ask your doctor to change your meds, as the current ones aren't really working.

I would give advise..'cept I don't know what the hell you're talking about  |

Schizzle my nizzle, or however you young folk say it these days.

however... i will award you a point for the bunny pics. :D

Ok…Theres been a new development. My “friend” seems to be encouraging his girlfriend to say wuuurrrr when she’s laughing and buuurrr when something is sad, too.
I’m real confused as I get on really well with her and I don’t want to fall out with her too. She has been a good friend with girl advice and stuff and I don’t want to split the group of friends up. I mean, what am I gonna do for New Years? http://home.earthlink.net/~jenewmail...s/03_11/61.jpg Thanks guys, I knew you’d have the advice. |
Dobster needs to re-think his life choices...
I am wierd sometimes, you my friend are truly out there... |
If everyone else is going with "burrrr" as crying, do it. It's not worth fighting over.
|
No way Dobster!
You stick to your guns on this one "wuuurrrr!" is definitely a crying noise. "Buuurrrr!" is synonymous with chuckling in elfish glee, them's the rules... So what if it breaks up the happy group, they'll be the ones crying on New Years Eve because you're not there, "wuuurrrr!" http://www.uncledirtae.com/blog/images/bunny.jpg |

If you mix laughter and sadness together, you get a fart: *Burwurburwurburwurburwurburwurburwurburwurburwurburwurburwurbur!*
Everybody laughs because it's funny, but they're sad 'cause your ass smells. |
Now you're just confusing the issue. This isn't about farting. We're not arguing about that. There are clearly set out boundaries when it comes to farting. Each party is aware of the limits of taste in this regard and applies those when appropriate.
http://www.jack-russell-terriers-pup...puppies-19.jpg This query is regarding the sounds wuuuurrr and buuurrr being confused. Now I know this is an open forum, but lets just stick to the specifics, eh people? Together we can solve this problem, divided we... probably can't. Sorry its just that... sorry. |

Try playing along, like you wanna laugh and WURR and your friend will be like "you finally came around buddy!" but while he's feeling good about himself you sucker punch him in the throat and say "burr, bitch". That would be awesome. I'd pay a nickle to see that.

Doesn't this thread belong in tilted living? I mean, the whole "life issue; please help" thing.

Ahem.
Ohmigodohmigodohmigod. Those bunnies are cute. /resume macho mode So how about beer huh? Does it make you do stupid stuff or what? |

The problem is obviously. “Buuurrr” is too close to “boo” and if you chuckle the sound it will sound allot like “boo-hoo-hoo”.
Are you sure you are chuckling “buuurrr” and not “bherrr”, because the second one does sound like more of a mischievous chuckle. I recommend you analyze your chuckle and come back to us with the exact results as to whether it is indeed a “buuurrr”. |
Oh its most definately more of a bherrr. In my accent however, the 'R' sound is VERY unpronounced.
|
i just followed this link that Dobster gave... i read this thread... :hmm: now i'm so confused i think i'm gunna have to go lie down!!!
 buurrrr  Merry Easter or sumthing... :D |

I'm very wuuuuurrrried for you :(
Asta!! |
How about murr, like what Choo-Choo Bear says in this comic?
http://somethingpositive.net/arch/sp01142002.gif |
I thought buuurrrr means you're cold.
|
buurrrr makes me think of "boo-hoo" but wuurrrr makes me think of "waahhh!"
i just dont honestly see how something with a B sound could be a form of laughter unless it was maniacal laughter (bwahahahaha!) i dunno dude. |
this is a dilemna found only in britain-land, huh? right ol' chap?
i sarw a thread on some other board where peeps took pics of themselves doing the burrrrrrrr face. it seems to be some kind of complete madness. do they have bottled water over there yet? |
