Fun with Cats
http://www.blennus.com/index.php?opt...&id=52&Itemid=
Actually.... that's pretty fucked up. But I'll admit I did giggle a bit. Then I pictured putting tape on my cats back. And then I pictured the medical bills I'd endure from him clawing the ever living hell out of me after. |
I'm gonna try that.
I'll let you know how bad I get fucked up. |
that's just too funny...
i think i'm gonna have to try that. my cat, Sir Nigel the Brat, is the perfect test subject for something like this *insert evil laughter* i'll keep y'all informed... |
Hrm, double sided sticky tape works really good, its fun to put them on all four paws.
|
That video was awesome. Thanks for the post, Averett!
I wonder if this works as well on Jack Russell Terriers... *wanders off to find tape* |
I find this more cruel than humorous. "Fun" experiments like this are precisely why I isolate my cats when my brother and his family come to visit. But this is an open forum, so I hope I'm entitled to my opinion on and my reaction to this video. And I hope all of you have fun with your tape.
|
hahahaha.........that is kinda funny in a cruel kinda way........i see no harm done to the cat 'cept a bit of a pride thing........
|
 Hahahaha...thanks for the laugh.
I like that little before/after window with the cat, so we can all appreciate its torment more fully. What an odd thing to do. |
oh man that's great..my hatred for cats makes it better..hmmm wonder if I could use duct tape on my dad's cat??
|
Very funny video
Have to admit, if my roomate caught me doing that I would never hear the end of it from her. One thing that my step-brother used to do to one of our cats when we were growing up would be to set her down on the linoleum and spin her around quite fast and then pick her up and set her back down. While it was funny to see a cat (who reacts the same way as a human does to this) react, neither I nor my cat appreciated it. |
I wonder if the cat would walk normal if it was taped on all four sides.
|
Why does it do that? I mean, I walk fine with tape on me. Maybe a human should try it on themselves, and give some results.
Who me? I'm strapped for time as it is. And I'm too poor to buy tape. |
It's because cats use their fur and whiskers and such to get around things in the dark. You've seen a cat slink under a low object, right? Well, that's the idea here. The tape is tricking them into thinking there's something above/below/to the side of them, therefore they're walkin funny...
|
It'll be a miracle if I can make it through a whole weekend without taping-the-cat at some point.
*wanders off (tape in hand) to find cat* |
This doesn't work with toddlers....just so you all know. Perhaps I've already said too much....
|
If you're going to try this, don't use super strength duct tape. Try using... well anything except duct tape, really.
*wanders off to vet's with unlikely story involving cat and duct tape* |
I wonder if it hurts when you remove the tape (if you do).
|
I hate cats. I endorse their being used as target practice and Chinese cuisine. I hate cats.
I don't have a reason, I just do. |

Awww poor little puddy tat!
Looks like like last piece of tape, underneath it's body could have been a tricky section to get off without the cat puncturing several Japanese people... We used to have a cat where if you tickled the base of it's tale it would do this funny action like it was catching invisibile flys in it's mouth, that was very disconcerting (but funny)! :D |
It's only funny because you can tell it didn't really hurt the cat. There would have been large patches of fur missing. I love cats infact I have a new baby. She was abandoned and didn't even have her eyes open.
<img src="http://www.maj.com/gallery/avhg1/Baby/img_9153b.jpg"> I wonder if they do that as kittens. I might have to try in a few weeks when she is fully mobile. |
Awww Kitten!!!! What a cute little thing. So tiny....
Really though guys, don't do this. It's messed up. Funny to watch, but a wee bit messed up. And it's tape, so yeah when it's removed it'll remove their hair. |
I like cats ok, and I don't mistreat animals, but I had to laugh at that.
|
You could probably use that blue painters' tape without it taking off too much hair. :)
|
The vast majority of the general public does not have the intelligence to comprehend how intelligent felines are compared to the civilized human race.
Major gripe with people who are cruel, tease, and annoy animals. http://home.comcast.net/~gsclifton/Simba_Scale.jpg http://home.comcast.net/~gsclifton/Nala_Scale.jpg http://home.comcast.net/~gsclifton/nalayawn.jpg |
i don't see why any one of you would want to torment your own cat like that.
you saw the video clip. you know what the tapes makes a cat do. you also know what sticking your hand on a hot stove element will do. do you need to go test that for yourself as well? hrmm... perhaps you do. |

Some things just seem funnier when you do them in person than just watching a video...Now perhaps if more people would just emulate jackass...
|
oh man, if I did that to my cat, she would absolutly claw me to death in about ten seconds. .....Just ask flyman, he'll agree with this.
She's nuts.... |

*disclaimer: The cat has short hair because it requires an annual shave. This picture is not the result of me sticking tape to my beloved mog's back. Absolutely not. No siree. |
Another thing you can do is aluminium foil. I did this to my cat, I made her boots and a cape and she walks around and shook her feet trying to get them off... My friend and I couldn't stop laughing funniest thing you've ever seen.
