A couple of years ago my wife was spending July in Spain, and I decided to take a couple of weeks off and drive to Austin to visit my buddy Jeff. That's 1500 miles each way. I passed Hope, Arkansas on I 85, and, just past Texarkana was a sign for two equally interesting towns in Texas: Fate and Commerce. Wish I could find a picture of it, but it's there alright.

Yer not gonna believe this but I used to live in Commerce. I think we've passed through Fate as well. We used to always crack jokes about it when we'd seen the sign in the car. We'd be like "FATE!" Theres other funny named towns around Texas now that I think about it but I can't remember them at this moment. When we were making the trip to move to commerce I think we actually saw a sign on the road that just said "Speed" haha. I wish I could get pictures of all the signs on there that could be interpreted as funny. Like all the "Fresh Oil Just Ahead" signs we would see. Like someones cookin the shit up or something haha. I dunno I found a lot of them funny but I'm very easily amused.
