That is BS. It says I am in the top 0,001% richest people in the world and I live month to month...
I have quite a few good months, but I don't feel rich... |
I dont believe this thing, I am a college student with a pathetic income and apparently I am in the top 10% of the richest.

You are in the top 0.63% richest people in the world.
There are 5,962,197,435 people poorer than you. How do you feel about that? A bit richer we hope. Please consider donating just a small amount to help some of the poorest people in the world. Many of their lives could be improved dramatically or even saved if you donate just one hour's salary (approx $65.97) Oh, and in case you’re interested you are the 37,802,565 richest person in the world. no complaints |
You are in the top 2.38% richest people in the world.
There are 5,856,730,434 people poorer than you. How do you feel about that? A bit richer we hope. Please consider donating just a small amount to help some of the poorest people in the world. Many of their lives could be improved dramatically or even saved if you donate just one hour's salary (approx $39.02) Oh, and in case you’re interested you are the 143,269,566 richest person in the world. I don't know about this thing... |
The median value appears to be about 720. I can't tell if that is dollars or euros, since it keeps flipping back from dollars to euros when I hit enter.

It's a tugging-at-heart-strings type thing. Am I better off than a large percentage of the world? Sure. But do I struggle to pay my bills each month? Yup. So basically this organization isn't getting my one hour of salary :p |
I love how it said you should donate 1 hour of your salary. Reguardless, it said one hour of my salary was about 63 bucks. Gee, that's about 22 dollars too much. The math sucks!

Is this supposed to make us feel better or worse about ourselves?
|
It seems to be working off a 1440 hour work-year, so somewhere around a 30 hour workweek depending on how many holidays you assume. It also seems to ignore decimal points, which threw off my number. I knew I was not in the 6-digits for top #.
And woohoo, I'm already donating more than one hour's salary to domestic and international charities! I win! er... |
You are in the top 5.53% richest people in the world.
There are 5,668,198,529 people poorer than you. How do you feel about that? A bit richer we hope. Please consider donating just a small amount to help some of the poorest people in the world. Many of their lives could be improved dramatically or even saved if you donate just one hour's salary (approx ¥2500) Oh, and in case you’re interested you are the 331,801,471 richest person in the world. this is all very nice to know. but they haven't taken into account assets and family. |
To the people who say they don't believe this, please try to think of the world and not your limited experience of just the United States (or Europe).
There are BILLIONS of people on this planet who make less than a $1,000 a year. MILLIONS who make less than $200 a year. If you have any disposable income, if you are not literally starving and living day to day, struggling to feed yourself and your family, then you ARE rich (by global standards). It may make you feel guilty, but don't shoot the messenger. Quote:
And I think I do far far too little. It's humbling to think about others some times. Most of us here (99%) have no idea how good we have it. Mr Mephisto |
