I download water Desktop to show wallpaper. I find many other characters that I llike. It will expired in these days.

I do not know whether I should pay for it now or later.

Definitely. That's what shareware is all about. On the other hand, there's nothing to stop you from finding another, similar piece of software that is freeware (as long as it doesn't contain spyware).
