I seem to have a proliferation of wild animals in my back yard, and it seems to drive my wife nuts whenever i find a new name for each of them...a sample:

Lake (the blue heron)
Vince (the gopher)
Bimbo (the deer)
Nekkid (the jay-bird)
Louie (the cardinal)
Bare (the rabbit)

anybody got any new names to add?

I do't look out in my back yard enough these days, certainly not enough to have a consistency of animals, but at my folks house, they have a lake in the back of the house that has two grandaddy snapping turtles in it yclept "Bighead" and "King Ike".

We have black squirrels named, Motherfucker 1, You Bastard, and Motherfucker 2. We both have a soft spot in our hearts for all living creatures (except spiders, don't get me started...) but, like a lot of people, we get pissed off at the squirrels raiding the bird feeders. So, we give the squirrels their own food and that keeps them away from the birds food (most of the time).

Besides the suet feeders, we fill one bird feeder with wild bird mix and the other with only black sunflower seeds. The squirrels tend to stick with only the sunflower seed. They're still called MF1, YB and MF2 because within 10 min. of filling their feeder, they are hanging up-side down on it and inevitably, they pull it off the tree and all the seed ends up on the ground.

At that moment, in the heat of anger, they all become collectively, "You little Fucking Bastards!" because I just can't afford to feed them a feeders worth of food everyday. I then go outside and re-hang the feeder. Repeat from "filling their feeder" approximetly 4 times until some other duty calls and I give up the battle. Sometimes I think I should just pour a big pile of Sunflower seeds on the ground and let it be.

Ngdawg: That picture cracks me up! OMG, that tree looks almost exactly like the base of the tree we have in our backyard that the previously mentioned squirrels raid our feeder from! Maybe our squirrels should be called-Rocky 1,2 and 3!!!!

we don't really name the birds- too many to keep track of, but we have pet squirrel that come eat out of our hands, they are psychic, and spoiled.....
We had a chubby one named Schultzy at first, but then he got bigger and so moon named him Fat Bastard......we haven't seen him for quite a while....
the other 2 we haven't really named yet, but they are getting fat and feisty.
