The Unexplained...
why is it when a bug dies it winds up on its back??? :hmm:
|
I dunno how you been killin bugs but mine always end up as a greasy smear on the wall. By the way, dont touch the walls in my house.

Hail Hanxter!
I was thinking about this yesterday. I theorized out loud and to no one in particular that most bugs are smooth on one side and all legs on the other. The odds are that once it dies and stiffens up that it will naturally roll over to the flattest side due to our good friend gravity. I am quite lonely at work, -GH |
at my house....
spiders wind up squished in a kleenex or paper towel. flies get swatted with the swatter or a rolled up section of the newspaper. messy. but the walls can be wiped down. (TheDave87!) earwigs just get stomped. they can pinch sometimes. the shoe is the best way to exterminate those bastards. ants get the bug spray. or just squashed if it happens to be solo. tho ants are rarely solo travellers... we've got a moth situation going this summer. i think we're going to be bombing the house soon. get them all at once. oh yeah...bug hiroshima!!! now Hanxter, i think you're speaking of the bugs you find dead in the window sill, eh? never having been an insect in a previous life, but who's to say that i won't be one on a future life? i digress... anyway, i'd imagine that when their bodies are shutting down, it might be uncomfortable, to put it mildly. what do we do when we're in pain? usually we find a bed to lie down on, right? |
when they die their legs curl up, and like GH said gravity makes them tip over to the flattest side
