Anyone From Vancouver Island ?
 

Hey all!

I live in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island and was curious how many other peeps are from this rock we call a home :)

I don't live there *CURRENTLY* but I swear, its my true home. I hope to be moving out to Nanaimo in January, working for a few months .. then attending Malaspina College :) I love the area! I'm there in July for a few weeks, actually..

I used to be in Port Hardy. I still swear the best ex I ever screwed up is in Nanaimo, and miss my weekend bashes in Tofino and up on Cape Scott.

Man I miss the island. Good Times. 3 hour drives to Campbell River for a Big Mac, Hippies and loggers.

I keep hearing rumours about how Nanaimians are a little kooky. Can anyone confirm this?

Kooky is one way of putting it. Nutbars is another. Only in Nanaimo could we invent Drive By Heeming. Long story, don't ask, bored teenagers and car alarms

Do you guys know if there are any art schools/figure drawing classes or anything of that sort around Victoria?

Um...I know my friend gets to draw naked women in his art classes at Uvic ;) As for actual smaller schools dedicated to art, I'm not sure.

Isn't Emily Carr Art School in Vic? Or am I mistaken?

I'll be here for the next year and a bit, then off to queens or calgary for uni, I just graduated from high school this year.
