Mad Max
 

I got Mad Max out on video today. my old boss is actually in it, so im gonna have a laugh. I heard this week that the new mad max film has been canned. Sad really, all the uber film geeks and petrol heads will be crying into thier beers.

As an uber film geek... not really...

The last thing I want to see is some Hollywood tool sully the Mad Max legacy the way they destroyed Batman...

Those bastards would probably put some love interest in there and have Mad Max settle down in the country at the end...

When everyone knows, Mad Max can never love again, never settle down and will forever wander the sunburnt highways dispensing his own brand of ultraviolent arbitrary vigilante justice...

Amen brother, amen.

I seriously love the first Mad Max film - it is the original and the best. MM2 wasn't too bad, but it kinda went right off the rails after that. MM1 was one of the best revenge flicks I've seen (up there with Kill Bill), and the car chases kick ass.

If you're ever driving to Geelong with someone who knows the area, get them to take you along the road where some of the car chases were filmed....very, very fast. Then close your eyes and visualise Toecutter's ugly face. It's kinda fun.

Ella, you've been down this way. I think we all went out to Avalon Beach after that film premiered just to do a few burnouts and do our own visualizing. Go Cats.
