Bummer, would've been awesome to see them win at home.

What do you all think of that goal that was not a goal? Were we robbed?

I didnt get to SEE it, but from what the radio announcers said, the league has said the puck was in the air? and thats why you could see white.

But I'm cheering for tampa anyway, so it matters not to me.

Damn, tough loss tonight.

I can't say if it was a goal or not. An optical illusion is possible from that angle, but without the overhead shot we'll never know.

Here's to an excellent Game 7.

The puck was in the air, and he kicked it in anyways : /

Great game either way though, hell of a shot by St Louis.

I know a lot of people still bitter about that too....

But that's only part of the reason I'm not cheering for them... However they hold a special place in my heart due to the fact Iginla plays for them, and they're the last canadian team.

I'm cheering for tampa because I have been all season long. I started cheering for them as an underdog at the start of the season, then they just kept winning and winning, so I didn't stop.

The only series I haven't cheered for them would be when they played montreal. But they dominated.

Thats why I'm in an optimal position now, Tampa wins? GREAT! Flames win? GREAT!

I feel the same way as you Ace. It's a Win-Win for me too. Flames Win-Cup is Canada bound.

Lightning Win-Andrechuk gets his cup, and I have always believed Khabibulin to be an awesome goalie.

I find it hard to believe anyone had predictions about the Flames. They should never have been counted out. They shocked everyone by making it past the first series in the playoffs. They were the biggest and best suprise in the playoffs by far. They worked so hard and deserved to be there. Regardless of the loss, I love what they did for the city of calgary, the entire country and for NHL hockey.

It's awesome to see support of a team that didn't take it. Compare the comments in the board and the standing ovation the Flames got despite losing a crucial game 6 at home with the Philly Inquirer headline when they lost - "Let Down Again".

The former really shows recognition that it's a bunch of kids playing their hearts out on the ice.

Does anybody know when that 'next year' will be? The September lockout sounds ominous.

Oh and congrats to the Flames season. Heart and guts, just seemed that they were a couple skill players away. I guess shutting down Iginla was the key.

No riots, a standing O for a loss in game 6, the Red Mile, and depending on the report a few 100 to over 1000 to meet the team upon landing in Calgary.
My hat is off to the fans and the people of Calgary showing class in the support of the team.
Tampa came out hard and deserved the win in game 7, however the puck was in and should have been looked at in game 6.
It by the way wasn't kicked in he was in the process of stopping and it went in off of him, so the Flames got boned there.
That is nothing comp. to game 5 and the doub. minor call, and then the calls in game 7 just made me wonder which of the Flames was cought with Frasiers wife.
Oh and the call on Anderchuck ( two mins for even up ) was b.s. as well.

I'm glad to hear that there were no riots. I hate that trend in American sports. Hey, lets celebrate a win (or be pissed at a loss) by destroying the city!

When I look at the Tampa Bay Lightning I see Dave Andreychuk, Vincent Lecavalier, Martin St. Louis and Brad Richards. All Canadians. If the Canadian franchise lost the cup then it just means that the team with more Canadian players won it. Anyways there were around 30000 people at the Flame's party and only 20000 at the Tampa one. Guess it was too hot for all the old people down there?
