I know how he feels to a certain extent.
When I was 11 or 12 I was playing around with a pair of my moms' small surgical scissors and got one of the handle rings stuck on my finger.
My finger swelled up to where it wouldn't budge no matter what I put on it.
When mom got home from work she took me to the emt/firehouse to get it cut off.

Heh....that kid really doesn't look like he cares all that much, probably glad. I'm sure it took like half the day for them to figure out how to get it off.
