Dude, it's not chilli if you put mushrooms in it. It's more like thick mushroom soup.

sadistikdreams 04-10-2004 11:10 AM

beans

sadistikdreams 04-10-2004 11:21 AM

Scott Tenorman's parents?

Astrocloud 04-10-2004 11:28 AM

No, no, no, no, no. Being from Arizona I know certain things about Chili. It's nothing personal because now I live in
Massachusetts and very few people know how to make chili around here.

Chili is about simplicity.

Here is my source:
http://home.comcast.net/~astrocloud/cookbook.jpg
Notice that this is the "first edition" which means it's legal drinkin age.

Here are the recipes from said book

bernadette 04-10-2004 11:34 AM

kidney beans
celery
ground round
fuck load of cumin
stinkin' mushrooms (bernie gags. sorry)
onion
possibly some tomato sauce
chili pepper
perhaps a dash of salt?

bernadette 04-10-2004 11:42 AM

oh i forgot... this is chili ala flyman style...

so there may be some "wobbly pop" in the mixture as well.

CinnamonGirl 04-10-2004 11:46 AM

It's PEOPLE! The chili is PEOPLE!!

*cough*

Astrocloud 04-10-2004 11:50 AM

People is fine. At least there's no carrots.

Actually, soylent green is people. This chili might have people in it or at least pieces of people, but it's not people.

So, I'm going to say that there's prolly Soylent Green in it.

GuttersnipeXL 04-10-2004 03:45 PM

I guess a nickel and a toenail, and maybe a hair or two.

uncle phil 04-10-2004 04:06 PM

All of the above (and Bern's right about the 'shrooms (blech!)). Prolly has some bourbon and bacon, too! Hopefully, you remembered some garlic.

Fremen 04-10-2004 07:27 PM

It's got beans in it so it's not Texas chili.

Hmmm, are those white things potatos?

Is there any chocolate in there?

Astrocloud 04-10-2004 09:14 PM

Momma's little baby likes shortening shortening...

Astrocloud 04-10-2004 09:17 PM

Also dude, If I'm ever in your neihborhood, I'll stop by with my KitchenAid and make you some chili. You can have mushrooms as a side dish.

garlic............yup my mistake.....there is garlic.

no cheese though

Astrocloud 04-10-2004 10:01 PM

I should admit one thing. My personal chili recipe is SECRET. I'll give you the basics (from my Arizona Cookbook) because that's what I think everyone knows. -But there is a secret ingredient or two that nobody knows about and it's as good as lookin at the pot and guessing what it might be.

bernadette 04-10-2004 10:07 PM

it's not like we'll all be popping over to your house for astro's gastro chili, right?

Cumon Bern,

If the Jizz is cooked all the way through -we won't even taste it. Not like those damn mushrooms.

I had to do it. This talk made me hungry.

What I did here was use "3 Bean vegitarian Chili" and then add my own beef stock, cumin seed, tabasco, and garlic salt to. Not as good as my own recipe but it beats the competition by a mile.

that stew thing you've got there looks like, well, stew.

Fremen 04-12-2004 04:25 PM

Those are chilies, or chili peppers. :)

bernadette 04-12-2004 05:17 PM

oh... huh? oversighted possible ingredient...

i wonder... was there any KGB* in that pot of chili?

it is afterall flyman the fryman's chili....

*killer green bud

Fly 04-12-2004 05:30 PM

no green bud..........we had kids here......lottsa pops and a nice fire (and yes the mushrooms were tasty)..............well...it WAS a nice fire'til the boys decided to piss on it to put it out..........little buggers.

(i'm sooooo proud)

Astrocloud 04-12-2004 05:40 PM

I'm sure it was a very tasty bean and mushroom soup. However, for those of us in the know... certain things do not go into chili.

Pot is okay though. Especially if it's a secret ingredient.

you got a major deal with 'shrooms eh?

come on astro.....we all got our weaknesses.........mine happens to be mushrooms....and beer..........

i freakin' love 'em.........

*and not the magic kind either*

Astrocloud 04-12-2004 05:46 PM

I love mushrooms but they just don't belong in chili. Have them on the side smoked over mesquite.

Fly 04-12-2004 05:50 PM

dude ....is see your point.....

but if you combed your hair different......no one would notice............eh.....

*just bustin' yer balls man.*:)
