A man comes out of a cave. He has no wood to make fires, he has put on no clothing, but it's freezing outside. He's very hungry. In fact, he hasn't eaten a meal in almost a year. But he's perfectly healthy. How is this possible?

He was supposed to say "One small step for a man," because the way he ended up saying it is redundant. The point still stands, however. "Man" can be used to describe a member of the human race, regardless of age or sex.

Man generally describes an adult, and it would be a sad day that i have to describe my girlfriend's vagina as a cave.
